Her pained expression stared back at her. It was time.
She forced herself to smile, and the tears that welled up in her eyes spilled and crept down her cheeks. “I hate you,” she mouthed to the person reflected back at her.
Closing the bathroom door, she drew a breath to calm herself. Then, opened the top drawer of the nightstand and took out a pad and pen. Hastily, before Caelum comes back from his office, she sat on the bed and began to write the last pieces she ever will.
Tearing the topmost page from the pad, she left it atop the bed with the pen holding it down, and returned the pad on the drawer before closing it. Her mind screamed at her, with every step she took to get to the door, to run and tell Caelum, to trust in him and keep safe what they have, but the thought of losing her was too much to risk.
It was suicide – he understood this part well. And no, he didn’t have a well-made plan. Barge in, kill the bastard and take Astraea back home – not exactly a full-proof plan with a high success rate, it doesn’t even consider their chances of survival. But it didn’t matter - it was too late to turn back now.Caelum stepped into the clearing, hands in the air in show of surrender, as a couple of rogues walked over to him, sneering at their captive.“There will be a feast tonight,” one of them said.“The Alpha has prepared a very special show for you,” said the other.Caelum ignored their comments and followed them into the territory, holding his breath for as long as he could before drawing another, for the stench of rogues was thick in th
Caelum opened his eyes and was greeted by darkness and the smell of decay, and deduced that he was in the basement. Chains rattled as he moved his arms which were stretched out to his sides and when he tried to move his legs, found that his ankles were bound as well. The silver stung his skin, and the wolfsbane burned, but thanks to his resistance training, it didn’t hurt as much as it was supposed to.Still, though Chase was helping him thicken his skin, he couldn’t quite communicate with his wolf. It seemed as though Chase had faded into the background which was peculiar considering the situation, they were in. His eyes glazed over as he tried to mind-link Luca, but there was interference – wolfsbane. As he racked his brain on how to escape despite the terrible headache, the door swung open and after a click, light filled the room. Caelum bl
Noah stayed silent for a moment, then suddenly laughed aloud.“I almost forgot. Thank you for reminding me, Astraea. Such a good girl.”“Please… Master.”A thought crossed his mind, causing him to smirk. “Brother, do you know why she calls me Master?”“Go fuck yourself,” the Alpha answered. He lightly scratched his chin as if considering Caelum’s proposal. “I would but where’s the fun in that?”“Please… Master,” she repeated, tugging on the ends of his pants only to be denied further attention. Instead, he harshly pulled his leg away without so much as a glance at her and faced Caelum, who had his head down but was internally trying to keep himself calm despite it bei
“Master…ah… please… Ma-Master.”Astraea kept begging Noah as he fucked her from behind, putting on yet another show for Caelum. She couldn’t help but moan as he hit a particular spot inside of her and her hatred grew – towards her master, but even more so towards herself. Her moans were for only her Alpha, for Caelum whom she had used and betrayed. The pain in her chest intensified which added to the list of things she should be guilty for, including the fact that he was feeling the same pain as she.“Ma-Master… ah… ah… p-plea…please.”Noah slammed his dick inside her cunt, ignoring her pleas for Araceli. He was high at the moment – the addictive pleasure of her tight walls wrapping around his dick, and Caelum well-aware of eve
“You see, before those corpses ruled the south, several packs had to be annihilated, including the royal pack. Many died, enslaved, while a few lucky survivors managed to escape or weren’t there when it happened. Astraea here was among the latter, and so was her entire family it seemed. By staying in neutral grounds, they were spared a cruel fate… only to suffer a crueler fate in my hands.”Flick.Noah lit a cigarette and after a long drag, slowly exhaled the smoke. “I killed her family, spared the grandma and her granddaughters.”“WHY?” Caelum asked in a low growl.“Why?” he repeated, thinking for himself. “Ah!”His palm went to his forehead, throbbing in pain as white flashes formed in his mind’s eye.
A rogue barged in the door without knocking. He was a panicking mess as he bowed and immediately reported, “Alpha, the Blood Moon pack is attacking us. They have us surrounded.”Noah stared at him in disbelief. “Impossible!”Caelum laughed. “You underestimate me, brother. The pack, and I, their Alpha – we’re no longer weak and gullible as you initially took us to be.”The chains rattled as he flexed his arms and legs. Stretching his neck from side to side, a smirk formed on his lips.“Haaa!!!” He screamed as he pulled on the chains, channeling Chase’s energy for as much as he could with his current state.“Chase,” he called, but couldn’t hear him. “Don’t sleep on me now, you lazy wolf. A
Astraea desperately gasped for air; her chest tight. She felt like drowning – icy black waters swallowing her whole and everything around her fading into the background, into nothingness. Somehow, the cold waters were inviting, comforting, that there was an odd sense of peace as she sank deeper and deeper.“As-As!”She smiled. The voice was calling for her – Araceli was calling her. When she reaches the bottom, would she finally see her?It had been too long since she was last allowed to meet her. Araceli – always a fiery ball of energy – gave her hope and strength. The voice called again. “As-As!”Almost there… just a little more… and they’d finally be together again.A
She roared. Not Caelum. Her life was worthless but not Caelum’s – he had to live no matter what – for Luca, for Melanie, for the pack. She bared her sharp canines at her Master who was staring at her with wide eyes and a slack jaw. The man who caused her more than a lifetime’s worth of torment – the man who would take everything and everyone from her. No more.Amethyst growled, the look of fear in Noah’s eyes pure bliss. He almost killed her – she failed Astraea countless times. She was supposed to be her friend through dark times and good, but she could only hang in a thin thread as the monster kept poisoning Astraea. She held on because her death also meant death for Astraea. And now their mate was dying too – Chase had received too much of the poison in less t
