I called Joshua but I could not just stay put. Why did Levi go after her alone. It could have been a trap. I ran all over the town through different alleyways and I reached the breaking into the forest.
The tall trees stood ominously, swaying and splintering as the wind assaulted their branches. I couldn't see anything due to a thick fog that had blanketed the forest floor. The birds distressed chirping sounded like warnings.
Animals knew when a storm was coming.
I let out a steady breath and began to move forward. "May," Joshua appeared in front of me, "are you insane," he grabbed me by the shoulders giving me a shake.
"Josh, good you here," my voice held relief, "We have to go find him," I moved to go past him and he stopped me again.
