Chapter 66 - Dee

A couple nurses huddle around me as I shuffle down the hall.  Occasionally, my legs wobble slightly, but that isn’t my problem right now.  The dizzy spells are what stop me in my tracks. 

I glance to the end of the hall at Shane and smile.  He stands there like a model and my prize with a smile while his hazel blue eyes encourage me to keep going. 

The corners of my lips curl upward as I take another step and my leg wobbles a bit.  From behind me, my father’s proud voices booms, “You can do it, baby girl.  Just a little farther.”

I shake my head as I choke down the giggle trying to escape.

This isn’t the time to act like a little schoolgirl.

The nurse to my right softly asks, “How are you doing, your majesty?  Any issues with your vision?  How about your legs?”

Again, I shake my head.  “No.  I’m good so far.”  I won’t
