The moment he was out, Shade’s howl split the night as he lunged after the masked scent. He followed it like thunder racing across the sky, demanding blood.

The trail cut through the patch of forest inside the pack. In a few minutes, I saw headlights glaring in the distance. It was a car which was enveloped with the perfume’s scent mixed with that of jasmine flowers and blood.

‘I know that car,’ Shade said. ‘It is Mandy’s.’ His lips peeled back. With a snarl, he hurled himself forward and leapt into the path. Tires screeched as the car skidded to a halt. Angie was behind the wheel. Her face went pale as death when she saw my wolf. I dipped my head low and snarled as my warriors surrounded us. My eyes went to Zeke who was looking furious.
