LOGINJulian’s POV
I opened the door to a blue hotel room with loud steps. The first thing I saw was Max, sitting on the rug with a bunch of toys. Near him, Ophelia helped him put blocks together, giggling when Max yelled in joy after making a big tower.I stood still for a bit in the door. The view in front of me felt so nice but yet, it just made the hurt in my chest harder.Maximilian spun around when he listened to the door swing open. “Daddy!” he yelled happily, hurrying towards me with brief, a bit wobbly steps. His little hand held a red block, his eyes bright with joy.“See! I made a fort, Daddy!” he said, holding the toy up high.I made a grin and bent down so I could meet his eyes. “That’s great,” I said softly, messing with his little messy hair. That tiny touch should bring me joy - but instead it left a weird hurt deep in my chest.Ophelia stood up slowly behind him. Her look was calm like al͏ways but I saw a hint of worry inJulian's POV I held my breath. The question was straightforward, but it felt even more complex than any other question I had ever heard.Ophelia made a further approach. Just a few inches separated us. The faint lavender scent from her hair was a familiar scent to me.She flickeredered with a soft, almost impudent stare. "I'm not asking for anything.” “I just want to stay. You both deserve my care and attention.” I said.I knew I should refuse. I should step back. I found it difficult to hold my breath and turn away as her words drifted slowly around me, resembling the wind in their tracks.I ejaculated deeply, my eyes directed towards the garden that was now cloudy. If that's what you want, I said firmly, “Ok.”Silence.I was surprised to hear her move again after a few steps before she stopped in front of me.“Julian,” she whispered. Her sudden action caught me off guard. She quickly ran towards me and embraced me tightly, her arm
Julian's POV I stood by a bedroom window, looking out at the backyard garden still shining with bits of rain. The night air felt cold and wet against the glass but it calmed the noise in my head.Behind me, Ophelia stood in her plain night dress, her hair flowing down, her face showing a bit of tiredness. But below that tired look, there was a known gentleness, the same one that had once made me lose my path. She moved to me slowly, her feet hard to hear on the soft rug. From the look in the glass, I could see her pause a bit back of me - nea͏r enough that I could sense her there, yet far enough for the space between us to stay."You haven’t eaten dinner," she said at last her voice low and a bit shaky. "I told the maid to make something light."I didn’t reply at once. My eyes were on the rain-dotted yard. There was peace out there, something that stood in clear contrast to the mess inside me.“Did Maximilian go to bed?” I asked just
Julian's POV With a soft voice, Ophelia whispered, "Maybe I cannot be your mother, Maximilian. Your teacher won't reprimand you any longer, so I can help you study. How about that?" "Attasted, Auntie?” The boy's eyes brightened up right away. “You'll help me draw tomorrow?" She chuckled softly, "I'm sure your dad would be okay with that." She was waiting in the backseat, her eyes fixed on me and I waited for her to answer. I maintained my silence while looking out at the deserted road. There was an odd sensation inside, but it wasn't anger and it was a feeling of loss. That kind of response from Vivienne would never have made her feel so delicate. She would have held Max and explained everything with a logic that was sometimes too incongruous for ages. But that didn't mean she wasn' Vivienne appeared to be trapped in her own world.I closed my eyes for a moment as the red light ahead appeared. Julian's POV Upon seeing Ophelia, I briefly noticed that she had sympathy and also showed me some regret.I chose to refrain from discussing it. Not tonight. In an attempt to stay alert, Maximilian was not present while yawning. The boy's gaze changed direction.I turned around to face the Housemaid who was in the corner of our room."Please pack all our things, including Vivienne's," I said with conviction. “We're going home." With a swift nod, the woman started packing up her things. After that, I turned around to see Ophelia, who was standing awkwardly and staring at me as if she was waiting for me.I firmly stated, "You can come along as much as you please." Ophelia looked a bit surprised. Her eyes seemed hesitant, possibly because my tone was not as gentle as usual. Maximilian held onto her hand before she could respond.“Come with us, Auntie. I am not interested in being alone at home.” Maximilian, with a blank face, “begged for Papa to b

Vivienne's POV I gazed at Julian, and within seconds, I almost shook my head. I was so broken that an apology was insufficient to restore my inner peace.I uttered, my voice shaking with regret, "regret only when there's nothing left to repair." I breathed deeply and looked out the window, where the sky was heavy with clouds of gray. "And I believe that time has arrived for us." Julian attempted to speak, but ultimately chose not.For brief moments, I looked back at him with a nearly blackened gaze. There was no response from me.My weak voice prompted me to go. I prefer solitude. Why not?Julian didn't move right away. He maintained a fixed gaze on me, as if seeking pause for his last word.'"I admit that I was wrong to you, Viviane Kindly avoided taking action at this moment. You're not stable yet." I gave him a small frown. “Don’t be anxious, no problem.” I said softly. The right to be in this world was never granted to me.A
