Chapter 24

Savannah awoke with a severe headache, as if she had been struck in the head multiple times. She sat down cautiously but quickly returned due to the ache in her head.

"D*mn!" The woman groaned. She stayed in bed for a time. She slapped her forehead and closed her eyes.

The brightness in her bedroom dazzled her. Her brow wrinkled as she realized she had switched it off. She forced herself to sit and sought to turn out the lights when a voice abruptly spoke.

"Here, drink this," the voice offered. Savannah's eyes opened immediately. She moved her focus to her right side, where she came face-to-face with the man she had been avoiding.

The man is sitting down and offering her water as well as headache and nausea medication. She checked him thoroughly from head to toe. He hadn't changed, despite the fact that they hadn't seen each other in a week.

The only thing that has changed is the man's eye bags, which he most likely acquired due to a lack of sleep.
