Her Deepest Memory

With her slow and gentle strides, Kaya reached the door which leads to the garden of the house, but she didn't step outside. Kaya opened the glass door and watched him standing under the rain. The rain had started falling more heavily now. The clouds were roaring loudly and even the shiny lights were scattering all around the sky.

"Come outside," his voice gained her attention. Kaya darted her eyes down from the sky and looked at him. She saw him gesturing to her to come outside, but she shook her head. She told him that she was fine standing there.

Zian rubbed down the water from his face and then walked towards her.

"Let's go. It will be fun," he said to her, but she declined.

"Why? Don't you like rain?" He asked her, curious. She bobbed her head in her response.

"Then?"he further questioned. How would she tell him that she was afraid of thunderous light flashing and scattering in the sky from her childhood because there used to be a time when that nightmare of her life, Paul, used

Zia and Damian do not know this part of Kaya dark and terrorfying past and the her inability to speak may have been a pre-existing condition caused be the acts of inhumanity enflicted by that rat bastard Paul.
