It's Been Five Years

"It's been five years since that accident has happened, Mr Karlson, but there's no improvement in Kaya's condition,"

A heavy sigh escaped from Damien's mouth, hearing the doctor. Zia was sitting beside him and her heart ached. They were hearing this same thing from the past 5 years. Kaya's health didn't improve even a bit. It was like that poor girl had lost her voice forever, but Zia and Damien were not ready to accept it. They were doing everything possible, so that she could get back her voice.

"The surgery we performed a couple of months ago, we had expected her to get back her voice because the surgery went successful, but she showed no positive response and currently, it's risking to perform another surgery on her so soon,"

The couple again heaved, and then nodded in agreement.

"But doctor the therapy sessions and everything she has been receiving from the past 5 years?" Zia asked with a slight hope to get any positive response.

"Nothing is working on her, Mrs Karlson. You
