Silas’s P.O.V

I pressed my lips together as I anxiously awaited Zoya’s response, my eyes searching hers for any sign of belief or acceptance.

But instead of succumbing to my claim, a sudden burst of laughter erupted from deep within the woman, startling me. It started as a soft chuckle, barely audible, but soon transformed into unrestrained, hysterical laughter that echoed through the room, leaving me utterly confused and speechless.

Uh… is she okay? Was she hurt? Was something wrong with her?

My brows furrowed in concern, and I reached a hand out to comfort her — maybe she was just in shock. Maybe she just needed a hand to keep her steady, anchor her to reality.

The laughter poured out of Zoya like a torrential downpour, washing away the weight of the situation, the overwhelming disbelief crashing against the walls of her mind.

As I watched her silently, confused and a little scared, her face turned red with laughter. It was like a cathartic release for her, a wild response to the ab

  • Torn Between my Alpha Mates   Chapter 64: Leaving for Good

Silas’s P.O.VI looked at her, trying to hold her gaze in the same way that I would have held her hand if she allowed me to. If only I could hold her hand and tell her that everything was going to be alright, that I was going to make it all better... but that would be another lie.Watching her suffer like this was like a knife to the chest that kept on digging deeper with each breath I took. I was rendered utterly helpless…utterly hopeless.I had only ever been this sensitive, this responsive to one other person and that had been Lily. I had only ever truly loved one person, and now that person was dead. And now, even the person that the Moon Goddess had chosen for me was on the verge of abandoning me forever. And where had that left me? Where was I supposed to go? Who was I supposed to turn to after this? I was left with no one…Instead of doing anything, I merely stayed silent, hoping that she didn’t ask me to leave but also there was this knowing in my heart that this was it. This

  • Torn Between my Alpha Mates   Chapter 62: The Depth of Reality

Zoya’s P.O.VAs Silas's words registered in my mind, a sense of clarity swept over me like a violent wind over a grassy plain, making everything in its path bend to its will. Suddenly, everything made sense — Lily's murder, Silas's flight, and the strange behavior of the townspeople. My heart thundered in my chest as I began to recognize the gravity of the situation. My mind was racing with realization, the pieces of the puzzle finally fitting together. It all made sense now - the murder of Lily, and Silas's story of fleeing the mountains, the strange looks I received when I first arrived in this town. Lily was Ezra's mate, which meant that Ezra was also a wolf, and he was Silas' brother. The memory of that fateful night when Lily was murdered came flooding back to me. I could almost feel the weight of the fear and confusion that engulfed me as I witnessed the tragedy. I remembered what I felt after I watched Cam drive away in her motorcycle, how I watched the lights disappear downhil

  • Torn Between my Alpha Mates   Chapter 61: Confirmation

Zoya’s P.O.V“Sam, I-”“I am not Sam,” he finally confessed. “My real name is Silas.”The room was silent after the words of admission left his mouth, and his eyes searched mine, imploring, hoping to elicit a response, anything, just anything. Unfortunately for him, I simply did not know how to react to that; on the inside, a storm was already brewing in both my mind and my heart, but outwardly, I didn't know how to express what I felt. I already knew that Sam wasn't his real name, I had expected as much from a stranger, but coupled with the recent information he had just given me, I didn't know what to feel.I saw a flicker of something in his eyes. Was it guilt or shame? I couldn't quite tell. He looked down at his hands, clasping and unclasping them as if trying to find the right words to say. His body seemed to tense up as if preparing for a confrontation, and I was certain it was because he wasn’t used to it. Finally, he took a deep breath and met my gaze. I noticed that his jaw

  • Torn Between my Alpha Mates   Chapter 60: Fated

Zoya’s P.O.VIn the beginning, when the world was young and life was just beginning to stir, there was a goddess who watched over it all. She was the Moon, a beacon of light in the darkness, and her name was whispered on the lips of all who gazed up at her in wonder. The Moon was a kind and loving goddess, but she also had a wild and untamed side. It was this side of her that inspired her to create the werewolves. She crafted them from her own essence, imbuing them with her strength and power. She made them to run in packs, for she knew that they would need each other in order to survive in the world she had created. The Alpha was the leader of the pack, the one who held the strength and wisdom to guide the others. The Beta was the next in line, his trusted advisor and friend. To be more precise, within a werewolf pack, the hierarchy was of utmost importance, and every member knew their place in the pecking order. The Alpha was the leader of the pack and held the most power, followed

  • Torn Between my Alpha Mates    Chapter 59: Origins

Zoya’s P.O.V“No! No! Stay away from me! Please…please don’t hurt me!” I cowered away from Sam, a man I no longer knew.Who was he? What was he? I didn’t know any longer. I didn’t even want to know.I just wanted all this to end. I just wanted to wake up from whatever this nightmare was, and when I did, I would realize that all this had been a bad dream and that I hadn't just witnessed a woman turn into a very large wolf, and Sam acting like he didn’t even care.“Zoya, Zoya!” His last word was almost a roar of a sound that seemed to echo throughout the house, chilling me to the bone. With my heart thrashing wildly inside my chest, and fear oozing out of every pore in my body, I turned to face him, my entire form trembling as I succumbed to the fear within me.“I am not going to hurt you!” He spelled out each word, each syllable, as if he was talking to a misbehaving five year old. “But you need to listen to me! You need to understand what I’m trying to tell you! If you don’t listen, y
