Tristan’s

As soon as we brought our attention to her, Liam growled. His desire and need coursed through my body, bleeding into every part of me. I got closer, to see every inch of her that I could.

She dressed in all black, the leather pants that outlined her stunning ass and the tank top that fitted her curves and shape. Either it was the training she had been working on, but my Reya had changed from being beautiful to really mesmerizing.

Every drop of my blood boiled with need.

She barely gave me even a glance and simply went towards where another woman who looked just like her was, chatting with the woman. My eyes were still glued to her body, stripping her mentally. Her bright red hair that I always loved was tied on top of her head and the ponytail was braided. She looked like a hot badass. My hot badass.

Fuck!

She was mine, wasn't she? I didn't take her rejection that way that our connection was still there. It was broken, but it was there.

You may covet her earnestly, but you cannot have her.' I was informed by Liam from within. 'She doesn't care for you. You treated her worse than the ground that we are standing upon while she was with you and you deserve anything that happens to you. I, however, do not deserve anything.”

I walked away from him. Reya was mine no matter what anyone said and I was going to bring her back to my house. Even if I had to drag myself through perdition.

"You are emitting a rather intimidating aura, Lycan Tristan," Isaac warned in a soft voice. "Maybe tone down a notch or two."

I glared at him. "Don't she look like Reya to you?" I told him, pointing at Reya in the crowd. "That is my mate! Put yourself in my shoes and try to stay calm if you can".

He scrunched his eyes up. "Well, based on the things which I learned regarding her." He spat. "That lady by the name Ray and she has intimate interactions with Lycan Xander. Further, she also possesses two kids that might or might not be his. So, please don't cause trouble by –"

"Kids?" I growled. A couple of heads were turned in my direction but I glared at all of them. Isaac sighed, pinching his brows.

"Yes. She has two of them and Lycan Xander loves them."

No, I growled. "I have someone to pretend that I am sane. That is Reya not Ray or whatever you and everyone here in this pack think her name to be." My eyes swiveled over to Lycan Xander to see that his eyes are also on me.

"There’s no way he took her into his pack with the knowledge that she was previously mated to me or perhaps he knew and just took her anyway so he could hand her over to me later,"

Isaac visibly sighed. “It’s time you learned the world doesn't revolve around you." He replied back. "Maybe she is only staying here because the home that you presented to her wasn't cozy and so hospitable. A benevolent Lycan Xander was simply doing that by inviting her somewhere nicer."

I glared back at him. "Whose side are you even on?"

He looked away, scowling at nothing in particular because that look on his face definitely wasn't for the Alpha, he admired and respected.

"Don't you think it is time to cut your connection by accepting her rejection to move on with your life? Because it is clear she has moved on with Lycan Xander –

If you care about your life, you better fucking finish what you started." I growled. "Reya is mine! And I'll find her no matter what I have to do!" Breaking our bond and releasing her wasn't something that even I had an existence on the pages of my dictionary.

My thoughts came to a standstill when a girl who was an exact, albeit tiny, copy of Reya whizzed past me and into the arms of Lycan Xander whose face cracked into a sickeningly sweet smile.

To witness him laugh so shamelessly was disgusting. He should be the strongest and most feared Lycan within the community and he could laugh so freely?

I frowned. That was the child my beta had spoken of? That was Reya's child? I was certain of it. They resembled one another, the girl and him. It was barely possible.

My gut lurched with a sensation I could not rationalize. I had suddenly experienced fury and wrath and the intense urge to stand up and yell and stride out as I saw him whispering to the girl sweetly, playing with her wild curls.

When he bluffed his claim on Reya yesterday, he was not bluffing.

My chest hurt and my heart felt like it was going to bleed out in my chest. I felt two emotions very strongly. Jealousy and envy.

I barely had my life while Xander had it all. What came over him to settle down with my mate? The werewolves were so numerous. There were enough women to go around and he settles for my mate of all people?

'You gave her away first,' Liam justified.

"But I did not give her to him." I complained. "I gave her to Wyvern and I fully intended to reclaim her from him."

'Did you now?'

I will reclaim her. I promised myself.

Tearing my eyes away from the exasperating display of affection in front of me, I looked at Isaac. "I don't care what you have to do, but make sure the next rounds of this competition take place within our pack."

Luckily, my beta didn't complain but provided me with a look that told me I'd lost my sanity. Maybe I had. Having seen Reya again after more than five years did so many things to me that I did not understand.

I focused on the crowd of competitors who had since dispersed and sighed. A skinny man stepped forward to announce the two competing team and I remained stationary when I overheard the two people in the early rounds.

Reya was going forward and she was being paired with man from Moon-heart pack.

Moon-heart pack was Alpha Wyvern's pack and he was here somewhere. My eyes scanned the crowd where he was, and I almost stumbled when I saw him. A hint of a smile on his lips, his eyes met my own and his lips moved though I did not catch the words.

This was not good.

I forced my eyes back to the arena where Reya was moving forward. The guy she was fighting was three times her size and my heart dropped to the ground.

I gasped, gazing at Lycan Xander who had a self-satisfied look on his face. He didn't really think Reya could fight with a guy like that right?

I opened my mouth, ready to tell him to end this madness before it began but the little girl in his arms suddenly shouted.

“You’ve got this, Ray. Goodluck!” she chanted boldly, grinning from ear to ear.

The bell rang and the fight began, and I closed my eyes. I did not want to see because they were going to hurt Reya because I knew that I was going to lose my shit. She did not even have a wolf for god's sake.

  • Torn From The Bond    Tristan Breaks

My jaw locked; fists clenched at my sides as I stared at the screen replaying the same ten seconds. Again. And again.Reya.The footage had been recovered from a rogue outpost—now a graveyard. Cameras cracked and bloodstained, but still functional enough to capture what I should never have seen.Her.A crimson blur ripped through the screen like divine fury. Eyes glowing molten gold. Beside him, Alpha Tristan Price—my former mate, my past, my pain—radiating raw dominance, every inch of him carved in regret and unspoken fire.My twins, Pearl and Luis, sat behind me. Pearl's golden eyes glowed like Tristan’s. Luis tapped his claws nervously—claws that were far too advanced for his age.The court knew. They all knew. And so did the magic.
