Summers pov

Walking through the familiar hallway, ignoring the intensive looks of other students, i could feel their mocking gaze, shining like hawks who have been waiting for this moment.

“Did she really think she was thst relevant? Its a good thing she knows her place now.” a girl whispered to her friend, both of them giggling as they spoke to each other, clenching my fists i remained quiet.

“Ignore them Summy, they cant say it to your face okay? Dont let them get to you.” she squeezed my arm in hers, leading me through the hallway like a mom. I caught sight of Ashton fondling Freya for everyone to see, her eyes burned towarfs me, her lips curled up in a mocking smirk. “Hey Summer, did you have a nightmare? I didnt think you would be able to come to school.” freya scoffed, causimg th others to laugh, my eyes focussed on ashton for a brief moment, still in disbelief thst he could do such a thing to me.

He had no remorse and even went on to kiss Freya while ligering his gaze on me , tring to make e feel jealous. 

My stomach churned in absolute disgust and i wanted more than anything to run away and hide from this mess, if i knew those moments of happiness would end up this way, i would have never gotten involved with him.

 Suddenly a tall figure stopped in  front of Aubrey and I, from the scent i culd tell who it was, adrenalined rushed through my whole body, quickly movie to the side with Aubrey my head remained low to the ground. He wasnt moving.

“Hey babe.” Trey’s voice echoed in my ear, i froze in my spot refusing to believe he was actually talking to me.

The whole halfway was full of surprised expressions from students, low whispers ad gasps, some pulled out their phone to record this moment. “Shes definitely getting bullied by him.”

“Shes so unlucky, if i were her, i would have transferred to another school.”

“Are you ignoring me baby?” he gently lifted up my chin, staring down at me, is cold eyes now filled with warmth, i had never seen them this way before, he gently carresed my lips, looming over me with an intimidating yet inviting smile. 

“Did he just call her that?”

From the corner of my eyes i could see Aubrey in shock, i had considered telling himthat i wasnt interested in his offer oncw i get to school but this? This wasthe least i expected.

“Did you miss me?” he asked.

“Yeah, considering what we had last night.” he wiggled hi brows while i stared at him dumbfounded. From the corner of my eyes i could see Ashton glare at us but did t dare do a thing. Right thos was a revenge to make that bastard know what he actually missed and feel what i also felt.

“Yeah about last night.” i forced on a smile, trying to act cool but i could feel my hands shaking, sensing tht, he grabbed my hand in his, gently and pulled me closer. 

“You forgot my kiss.” before i could show my confusion, he leaned in and kissed me, gentle and warm were his lips, the tension i once felt disappeared in that moment, i let him lead, let myself lean closer into his grasp, it lasted for a few seconds before he pulled away, my eyes still widened in shock but i quickly masked it with a grin.

“We werent supposed to make it public.” i pointed out to him, ounchin his chest lightly but that nealy ruined my fingers, he gently grabbed my palm, placing a kiss and leabed in to whisper.

 “See you later googles.” he winked before walking off, the crowd parting a path for him to walk through.

I stood there unable to recover from the shock, Audrey tapped me, standing riht in front of me, waititng for an explanation while the entire hallway was ken to know my business.

“I seriously cant believe youre such a whore.” freya scoffed, walkig up to me but i ignored her, more worroed about what i was to say to Aubrey.

Walking through the front door of my huse, the scent of freshly cooked food hit my nose, one that i had never happened in the last ten year. Slowly opening the door, i could tell my mother was home, her work bag sat on the chair casually, peeking out of the kitchen, there was a bight smil on her face. Just yesterday she looked at me like i was her biggest mistake in life. 

She waled out with a bowl of of food, placing it onnthe dining table, the food was so much that it would take us a few days to consume it. “Whats the occasion?”

“Go freshen up and come help me, your stepfather is coming over with his sons to visit.” she smiled brightly while i froze in shock, unsure what i had just heard.

Stepfather? Stepbrothers? When? 

“What are you talking about mom?” i asked, my face scrunched up in confusion. 

“I got married a week ago while i was in paris.” she revealed, my lips paarted open in shock, my eyes widened in shock, how many things did she not tel me?

“You got married withoute-”

“What were you expecting? You killed your father, i dont want such nadlkuck for ,my new husband so try rto stay away okay?’ she rolled her eyes and continued to set the table, feeling distraught, i walked to my room, i understood her grieve all this years but i was also going through it, the least i expected was her telling me even if she didnt want me attending it.

I had series of unanswered texts from Aubrey concerning the situationship between Trey and I, i had been avoiding hera came home alone today because i still couldnt being myself to explain it at all. Quickly cleaning ip and dressing up, i packed my hair in a messy bun, puting on my nerdy glasses, i changed my mond, putting it away, i heard the door bell ring. 

They were here.

Looking iut the window i saw a rolls royce pull up, thank goodness she didnt settle anyless.  “Summer come down here.” my mom called my name.

Sluggishly moving my shy ass, i walked out of my room to the living room, my gaze fixated to the floor, finally looking up and pushing my bangs to the side, i stood there in shock, my lips ajar and my eyes widened.

“Hey cookie.” trey waved at me.

Why the hellnis he here? I felt my wolf growl in happiness, screaming in my head. “Mate!”

Hes my stepbrother? I kissed him! How can he be my mate?
