The Unknown POV

"Very good! Indeed you two did a great job!" I said.

"We are glad you liked what we did." 'She'(the name of this demon is she) said.

"This is no fun! I sensed the baby. I sensed a baby I could not eat!" The devourer of children said.

"You cannot eat the son of Lucifer. He was sent here for a purpose and that purpose must be fulfilled at all costs. Demons will rule earth! Humans make it so easy with all their sins." I said to the children devourer.

"It is so tempting. Such a baby would give me such unimaginable powers." If only I can get my hands on him." The children devourer said.

"Then you shall die by the hands of Lucifer." I replied.

"Since when did Lucifer start caring for anyone most especially his own?" 'She's questioned.

"He doesn't. He just keeps what is still of use for him to accomplish his goal for bringing humans to his domain." I replied to 'she'.

"Yesss that is it. And once Lucifer is done with his plans, I shall have a feast of my own." The children devourer said.

"Certainly." I replied to the children devourer.

"You may both leave. I have some things to handle. And yes, keep an eye on hat pregnant woman. She must never be happy. Destroy her happiness." I ordered them both.

Sending these two demons to torture that woman was a great idea.

The one who is to give birth to the demon baby must not feel any for of positivity.

Never!

Any slight mistake about his would give the baby the slightest goodness.

"... And we don't want that for the son of Lucifer do we?" A voice said.

"Master." I called.

"It is good you are still as hard cored as you were trained to be." My master said to me.

"Yes master." I replied.

He is the king of the demons. I get to give commands to the demons but still under him.

One day I will be the one in his place. All this power will be under my disposal.

If not that he is more cunning than I am, I would have overthrown him.

I can't wait for his time to be up.

I just have to be on the good side of Lucifer who reigns supreme.

I just have to keep impressing Lucifer and portray my so called master as incapable of leading the demons assigned to him.

"Good work on the earth mother of the son of Lucifer." My master said.

"I'm glad you see it that way." I replied.

"It's good I have someone like you under me to command the demons in my name." He said.

Even his words sicken me.

"Good you think so." I replied, trying to hide my disgust.

He exists my domain.

It's so easy to fake things with an enemy.

Whats that the humans say again? Ah yes! Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Hahahaha!

Peggy POV

I woke up from bed and want straight to the living room to find my husband.

I reached and he wasn't there. I checked the kitchen and bathroom but he wasn't around.

He is probably outside, or so I thought. But once I reached he still wasn't there.

But his work vehicle is here. Where could he have gone?

Anyways, this is my opportunity to find out more about that person whose picture frame was in the old barn.

I have to do my research and learn more. Even if I'm scared I can't just let things happen to e without knowing the source.

I walked all the way down to the barn and took a deep breath before opening the doors to the barn.

Everything in it was dusty and covered with spider webs and dead spiders.

I picked an old short broom which lay at the side and cleared the spider webs from my path as I walked on.

I almost screamed when saw a dead rat at one corner.

What sort of a barn is this? Are the owners dead? This place looks like it died with time.

I reached where the portrait of the demon I had seen was and I dusted it of.

My body kept shaking at each glance I gave the wooden doll. There is definitely more to this than meets the eye.

I took the portrait of of its position and with me into my home.

I went into the bathroom to take my bath and returned to the portrait once I was done.

If my husband doesn't know who this girl is then the oldies of the town will.

I put the portrait at the back seat of my car and started driving.

Magritte will definitely know something about this girl. She is the oldest person I know.

It took me a one hour and forty minutes drive but I got to her house.

Her house stood alone in tgq must of dry bushes. The paint was already peeled off and sand covered her porch.

I didn't want to go anywhere near her house but what choice do I have?

I needed to know why these demons are after me. There must at least be a solution to my problem.

I parked my car at the side of her house and came out.

Quickly, I opened the back door and pulled out the portrait.

I walked straight up to her door and knocked three times before she could open it.

"Yes? How can I help you?" Old Magritte asked.

"Please can I come in? It's really important." I said to her.

"Sorry, no room for homeless beggars in my house." She said and tried closing the door but I stopped her.

"I beg your pardon madam. I'm not a beggar. I'm just here to ask you about something." I said.

"Ask me about what? You really don't know me do you? Nobody ever believes anything I say but here you are, seeking knowledge from me." Old Magritte said.

"What do you mean by nobody believes anything you say?" I asked a bit curious and at the same time, concerned.

She sighed and took one more look at me from head to toe.

"Fine. Come in." Old Magritte said, reluctantly.

I entered her home and she shut the door behind me. I could hear the lock click.

Did she just lock me inside her house?
