Chapter 30

"Are you feeling okay?" Aron asked.

Right after work, he had gone straight to Hilda's house upon learning she was sick. He came carrying a basket of fruits and a box of her favorite donuts.

"I'm feeling much better now, don’t worry," Hilda replied, raising one arm in mock strength. She smiled down at Aron, who was sitting on the floor by her bedside, his eyes filled with concern.

"You’re pushing yourself too hard. Please, just rest and get well soon, okay?"

Hilda smiled softly and patted Aron's head. "I’ll be fine. Promise."

She shifted on the bed and tapped the mattress beside her. "Come on, sit with me."

"You haven’t been sleeping, have you? Look at those dark circles under your eyes."

Aron was visibly flustered, his face turning red. “You really shouldn’t invite men into your bed so casually…”

“Huh? You’re my friend.”

Aron fell silent.

Laughing, Hilda patted the space beside her again. “I don’t have a guest bed. The house is small.”

    Chapter 37Hilda immediately approached and suddenly hugged the twins. Startled, the two instinctively pushed her away—thankfully, Arthur was quick enough to catch her.“Beryl!
