XLV.

“You shouldn’t be scared of them when they try to approach you.”

“Why not? They… they look scary!”

“Look doesn’t matter! Look into their eyes and then you’ll realise.” Saying that, he walked past her, reaching the main door. Just when he took some steps, he realised that she was not following him. He turned around and found her walking in the opposite direction. Her steps moved towards the dogs, standing next to the guards.

As soon as they realised, one of the doberman barked slightly and his tongue dangled through his mouth.

She flinched but did not decide to step back. She kept moving ahead until she reached them. Her hand raised slowly, reaching his head and trying to touch it. Meanwhile, her hand never stopped trembling.

The anxiety inside her was touching the peak and breathing was becoming hard for her. Along with that anxiety, she was feeling a bit of excitement too. She wanted to see the doberman’s reaction.
