Chapter 1

"Father, I don't care. I want to marry the vampire," Delroy Andrews, my adopted brother, whined.

My whole body still felt like it was being torn apart from teeth ripping into my flesh. But the moment I heard Delroy's annoyed voice, I realized I'd been reborn.

However… why had Delroy made a different choice this time?

In my past life, one look at the curvy, busty, and thick-hipped female werewolf was enough to make him clamor that he wanted to marry her.

My parents had pretended to be fair and square with a so-called random draw, but both slips had "werewolf" written on them.

Delroy had drawn first, which guaranteed that he would get the werewolf, no matter which slip he grabbed.

As expected, when he threw a tantrum and claimed that the draw didn't count, insisting that he wanted to marry the vampire, Mother merely stroked his head gently and agreed with an indulgent smile.

Then, she turned to me, her expression instantly turning frosty. She said, "Titus, Delroy is ultimately still your younger brother, and we watched him grow up. Just give this up for him."

Ever since I came back home at 16 years old, that had been her line for everything. "Just give it up for him."

In the past, I would've argued and complained. But now, I simply nodded and said, "Okay."

Whatever else Mother wanted to say to persuade me died on her lips. She gave me a strange look.

I turned away, planning to go back to my room to pack my things, but Delroy suddenly grabbed my arm and snarled viciously, "Titus, it's my turn to live forever this time."

The moment he said that, I understood what was going on. He had been reborn, too.

I looked back at him with a smile. "Then, I hope you get exactly what you want."

In my past life, Delroy had only seen the vampire's noble air, the elegant grace, and the promise of immortality. He'd never known that, behind closed doors, she'd nearly drained me to death several times.

Since he wanted her so badly, he could be her walking blood bag this time.

Soon, the vampire clan and the werewolves each sent one of their best to wed us.

The vampire, Leila Sangalia, wore a classic-looking gown fit for nobles. She was elegant and dignified, wrapped in a high-collar black coat that made her look even more mysterious. Her skin, however, was deathly pale. She looked almost completely bloodless.

Delroy's eyes lit up at the sight of her. He was clearly drowning in her charm.

I sneered inwardly. In my past life, he'd practically drooled the same way when looking at the full-bosomed shewolf, Vivian Wolfe.

But now, he shot Vivian a look filled with open disgust and said mockingly, "Look at the huge muscles your wife has, Titus. Do you think she'll subject you to domestic abuse?"

As he spoke, he suddenly grabbed me by the collar, yanked me closer, and whispered in my ear, "Let me tell you something. It won't be long before Leila crushes the werewolves and unifies all humans.

"When that happens, you'll be groveling at my feet. Maybe I'll be generous enough to spare your life. Of course, that's assuming you're still alive by then."

He burst out laughing at his own wit.

Vampires and werewolves were natural enemies. Both species were powerful, but neither was without weaknesses.

In my past life, with my help, Leila discovered that although werewolves possessed tremendous strength, they were stubborn and single-minded. A little scheming was enough to lead them right into a trap.

But that sort of thing was far beyond someone as spoiled and short-sighted as Delroy.

Vivian took me back to the werewolf base.

There was no wedding. She simply tossed me onto the bed and then ran back out to drink and celebrate with the other werewolves.

The second she closed the door, I climbed out the window and slipped away. This wasn't an attempt to escape, of course. Ever since vampires and werewolves had appeared in this world, they'd spread across the globe like a virus.

They could fly and had overwhelming combat power. It wouldn't take long for them to completely conquer the humans. No way was I getting away.

But in my last life, right before I died, I found out there had always been humans resisting in the shadows. They'd found ways to suppress and even kill vampires and werewolves. Unfortunately, their numbers had been too small, and they'd been too weak. They'd also lacked anyone on the inside.

I didn't know if they succeeded after my death.

That night, when I came back and pushed open the window, I saw Vivian sitting on the bed, her face dark and stormy. She demanded, "Where did you go?"

In the end, I still opened the gates and let the demon hunters in.Vivian and Leila were locked in a vicious fight. When the demon hunters launched their surprise attack, they had no choice but to stop fighting each other and join forces against them.Luckily, there were far more demon hunters than I'd imagined. This was the long-awaited final showdown, and the demon hunters had mobilized their entire force. Soon, the werewolves and vampires began to fall back in defeat until they were finally subdued and captured.Right before she was seized, Vivian reflexively pulled me behind her, trying to shield me.I couldn't pretend that I hadn't been moved by how good she'd been to me these past days. But the moment I thought of the people of my kind she'd devoured and of the skeletons in the dungeon, I knew with perfect clarity that a werewolf's hunger for food could easily deceive its prey into mistaking that hunger for love. It was a tragedy.Besides, it wasn't really love that Vivian

Vivian immediately stepped in front of me, shielding me with her body. The air was thick with tension. A fight could break out at any second.Father hurried over to smooth things over, but no one listened to him. Just as it was about to turn violent, he suddenly glanced at me, then leaned in to whisper something in Leila's ear.A bad feeling rose in my chest.Leila gave me a once-over with that almost-naked, appraising gaze people used when they were picking out goods. Then, she turned and left, still covered in blood.Father took me to his study. He started with small talk, then shifted the topic. He said I was a son of the Andrews family and needed to contribute to the clan.I sneered. "Didn't I already contribute by marrying Vivian?"He gave an awkward laugh. "Leila lost her child because of you. I'm not blaming you, but you need to make it up to her somehow."I stared at him coldly without saying anything. He rubbed his nose and went on, "I've already talked it over with he

The humans at the bottom of the social pyramid were enslaved, yet the nobles partied like nobody's business. Every so often, they would even throw banquets for vampires and werewolves, currying favor with both sides. In the days leading up to the banquet, I used all kinds of excuses to sic the werewolves on the vampires and secretly pass along information. This banquet was the moment of truth for the demon hunters. At the banquet, Delroy arrived in full formal wear. He looked completely different from his former washed-up self. Now, he placed a hand on Leila's belly as they walked, looking smug and satisfied.I raised a brow. Had he knocked Leila up?When he saw me, the smugness in his eyes was impossible to hide. "I bet you didn't see this coming, Titus. I really am Father's biological son. I'm telling you—whether it was in our last life or this one, you'll never measure up to me."I have to admit that I didn't expect you to still be alive after so many days of being married to t

To win more of Vivian's trust, I told her I had foreseen that Leila was making preparations and was planning to launch a surprise attack on the werewolf territory three days from now."I saw them teaming up with humans and using a poison. They're planning to wipe you out in one blow. There's a traitor among the werewolves," I said.Vivian snapped, "That's impossible! You're underestimating the bond between werewolves. We would never betray our own."I nodded, then closed my eyes as if in pain. "But I saw them capture his wife and child, threatening to kill them on the spot if he didn't obey."Her eyes turned crimson. "They're despicable!"Under my guidance, Vivian successfully rescued the traitor's wife and child and got hold of that packet of poison. In my previous life, Leila had gotten the poison from my parents. This time, I wasn't just going to make the vampires and werewolves tear each other apart. I was also going to make sure they dragged my biased parents down with them.

I tugged the back of my collar down, revealing the wounds on my back. In a tone that was half teasing and half accusing, I said, "It's your fault for being so rough last time. My wounds still hurt, you know."A flash of heartache crossed Vivian's eyes. She released her grip on the blanket and pulled me into her arms. But little by little, her body temperature rose, and her eyes turned red. Her fingers kept roaming over my cheeks. Her rough fingertips scraped over my relatively delicate skin again and again, making goosebumps race down my arms.I still had to keep a smile on my face as I coaxed her away. "Not today. My hemorrhoid is killing me…"Vivian's eyes were completely red now. She ignored my protests and started yanking at my clothes. "I don't care what hurts. You're my husband, and this is your duty."My heart was in my throat. My mind spun wildly as I scrambled for another excuse to get her out of here. She tore apart the last piece of clothing covering me. Then, her wild

After I'd been locked up for a full day and night, an enraged Vivian finally agreed to see me. "Why was it you who married me back then, you pathetic scum?"Her whip cracked across my back, immediately drawing blood.I didn't make a sound or even frown. Instead, I crawled to Vivian's feet and spoke as tenderly as always, "Babe, you have to believe me. Delroy and I were switched at birth. That's the only reason he got to grow up in the nobles' castle all these years. With how advanced technology is now, a DNA test is all you need to find out the truth."This is the perfect chance to humiliate the vampires, babe. Think about how long you've been at each other's throats. Leila is married to an impostor, yet she still walks around looking all smug. If you expose Delroy's true identity, won't that keep her under your heel forever?"Vivian's whip froze in midair as she looked me over. Just when I thought she still didn't get it, she finally pulled me up and into her arms. Her movements w
