Lanterns made up of green paper were being lit one by one. The once barren Hallow Fields filled with dead trees turned into a vast scene of greenery the moment that the Grand Duke Beelzebub swung his hand around the area. Leaf by leaf, life sprouted around Maleficent as she stood at the middle of the miracle with an agape expression – her head kept on turning for she did not want to lose the chance to capture the magic unfold.
Gukasho, who was standing behind Cent and her father, spoke with pride oozing from his goblin voice. “This is the festival of the Hallow fields, my lady. Once a year, the barren land right in front of the grand duke’s chambers will come to life.” His fist-size eyes wandered as well, Gukasho could never be tired of this beautiful scenery that was not supposed to exist even for a few moments inside the wretched Nether world.
