Gabriel just came out of the rut, but a lingering effect is still present in his system. If a she-wolf approached him with the intention of having s*x with her, Gabriel would still be too weak to protest, and with the amount of wolfsbane present in his system, he is at his weakest point.

“She transferred two big amounts, around five hundred thousand dollars, to an anonymous account in the past three days. Her only mistake is that she used her secondary account, which is not in frequent use.” Carter explained the reason for his suspicion.

“This is the same thing that I found out last night. Caden and Calvin tried to defend her, but the timing of both transactions was after midnight when she was at home. Shannon is in house arrest for now,” I explained what we found to them.

We reached school by now. I parked my car at my spot and killed the engine.

None of us made a move to go out. The air inside the car was filled with tension, but this was expected.
