After changing into an oversized shirt and a pair of lounge shorts, I lingered in front of the vanity mirror for a few extra minutes, making sure there were no leftover traces of tears in my eyes. I took a deep breath, forcing my expression into something resembling composure, before making my way back downstairs to the dining room.

When I arrived, all three of them were already seated. Lion sat at the head of the grand table, while Jewell occupied the chair to his right, attentively plating food for him. Damon sat on the opposite side, casually tapping the empty seat beside him—the only vacant spot remaining, positioned directly across from Jewell and right at Lion’s side.

“Take a seat over here, baby girl,” Damon invited, pulling out the heavy wooden chair for me.

“Thanks,” I mumbled softly, taking the seat.

“I hope you like lasagna, Snow,” Jewell spoke up with a warm smile as she served a portion onto my plate. “I tried asking Lion about your favorite dishes, but he mentioned you prefer sweets, so I baked some chocolate chip cookies for dessert as well.”

My gaze involuntarily shifted toward Lion. He was staring blankly down at his plate, holding his silver fork, completely indifferent to the chatter around him. Yet, the heavy, suffocating weight of his aura radiated across the table.

“That’s just how Lion is,Jewell. Quiet on the outside, but he knows a whole lot about Snow,” Damon interjected, throwing a subtle wink in my direction. “Honestly, you should be careful around him. He might just know what Snow likes doing late at night far better than you do.”

Jewell let out a soft, surprised cough at Damon’s suggestive joke, while I nearly choked on my own breath.

“Damon,” Lion warned, his deep, baritone voice dropping an octave lower. He didn't bother looking up at any of us, but the lethal edge in his tone was impossible to miss. “Just eat.”

“I’m just kidding, bro. Don't take everything so seriously,” Damon chuckled lightly, taking a slow sip from his crystal glass of water. But even as he laughed, I felt the smooth leather of his dress shoe slide beneath the table—daringly grazing against my bare calf.

I immediately yanked my legs back, my head snapping up to glare at Damon. But he merely stared ahead at Lion with a picture-perfect expression of innocence, as if he hadn't just touched me under the table.

My mind raced. What the hell was going on? Why did Lion feel so distant, so unattainable right now? Was it purely because Jewell was present? Or was he frantically trying to hide the unspoken shift between us ever since I became a woman?

“Snow, are you alright? You haven't touched your food yet,” Jewell asked, a genuine note of concern lacing her sweet voice.

“Ah... yes, I’m fine. Just a little exhausted from school,” I forced a polite smile, finally picking up my fork to take a small bite.

As dinner dragged on, the conversation flowed effortlessly between Jewell and Damon. Jewell gushed animatedly about her upcoming vacation plans with Lion and how attentively he treated her at the corporate office. Every sweet, domestic detail spilling from her lips felt like a jagged blade slowly carving into my chest.

In the middle of her story, a sudden, searing gaze burned into my skin. I raised my eyes from my plate, only for my vision to collide directly with Lion’s dark, smoldering gaze. His face was an unreadable mask, but beneath the warm glow of the chandelier overhead, I caught the intense darkening of his eyes as his gaze fixated entirely on my mouth—specifically on a tiny smudge of red sauce clinging to my bottom lip. His jaw clenched tightly. Slowly, deliberately, he reached for the linen napkin beside his plate, forcing his gaze away from me as his knuckles turned white around the fabric.

“Excuse me. I’ll be back,” Lion abruptly announced, pushing his chair back and standing up before he had even touched half of his meal.

“Where are you going, babe?” Jewell asked in confusion.

“Pantry. Getting something to drink,” he answered coldly, turning on his heel and walking straight toward the kitchen without another word.

Silence settled over the table in his wake. Jewell quickly resumed chatting with Damon, but I couldn't hear a single word anymore. My entire focus, my racing heart, and my chaotic mind were completely glued to the dark corridor leading to the kitchen... and to the man who had just disappeared into it.

Dellion "Lion" MadrigalThe silence inside the grand estate was no longer quiet. It was deafening. It was suffocating. It was driving me into a state of violent, unhinged madness. I stood in the center of Snow’s empty bedroom, my jaw set in an icy, painful clench. The room smelled faintly of her vanilla perfume, but the bed was neatly made, untouched, cold, and hollow.I checked my watch for the hundredth time. 3:45 AM. They had been gone for two full days. Two days of complete, radio-silent absence. When the head housekeeper informed me yesterday morning that Snow had left for an out-of-town landscape photography thesis with Damon as her escort, I had calmly nodded, brushed it off, and stepped into my office. But the moment the door locked behind me, I tore through every tracking system, every security camera log, and every phone record under the Madrigal network.Nothing.Damon had scrubbed their trail with precise, infuriating expertise. He knew every single backdoor in my private

The morning mist stretched lazily across the glass walls of the villa, wrapping the Tagaytay hills in a blanket of cool, crisp air.I woke up wrapped in Damon’s thick wool sweater, the sleeves hanging past my fingertips. Walking barefoot onto the polished wooden floor of the open-concept kitchen, the chilly breeze made me shiver pleasantly, though the warmth lingering deep inside my body kept the cold at bay. Damon was already standing by the marble kitchen island. He wore only a pair of dark gray sweatpants, his broad back bare, muscles rippling effortlessly as he worked the waffle iron. The rich, mouthwatering scent of toasted batter and fresh coffee filled the sunlit room. I walked up behind him, sliding my arms around his waist, pressing my cheek against his warm, bare spine.Damon stilled, a low, contented chuckle vibrating through his back. He turned around in my arms, holding a plate of freshly made golden waffles, his pitch-black eyes softening into an intoxicating, warm gaze

The sweetness of his confession lingered in the air, melting away every fear and hesitation I had ever held. When Damon pulled back just an inch, his dark eyes were burning—not with the wild, chaotic fury he usually carried, but with a deep, reverent hunger that made my core pulse with a heavy, aching warmth. The golden light of the crackling fireplace danced across his sharp jawline, casting long shadows over his broad shoulders."Snow..." he rasped softly, his voice thick and rough. "If I touch you tonight... I'm never letting you go. You know that, don't you?"A breathless, bold smile curved my lips. "I don't want you to let me go."That was all it took for Damon's last shred of restraint to shatter. He let out a low, guttural growl against my lips, leaning down to capture my mouth in a kiss so deep, so thorough, that it stole every drop of oxygen from my lungs. His tongue slid past my lips, tasting of dark wine and hot, addictive desire. His large, calloused hands slid up from my

Five days until November 15. The countdown to Damon’s twenty-ninth birthday was ticking away, and the atmosphere inside the mansion was getting heavier by the day. Lion had thrown himself entirely into his corporate empire, barely coming home before midnight, leaving the house cold, hollow, and peaceful in his absence.Taking advantage of the rare quiet, Damon pulled off a seamless lie. He managed to convince our house staff that I needed to travel out of town for an urgent three-day landscape photography project required for my senior art thesis. Since Lion was stuck in back-to-back board meetings in Makati, Damon executed the escape without a single hitch.By three in the afternoon, his sleek black SUV was tearing down the winding highways toward Tagaytay, leaving the congested noise of the city far behind. "Where are we actually going, Damon?" I asked, looking over at him with a soft smile. I was wearing a simple floral sundress, the cool afternoon breeze whipping my hair through t

The confrontation in the living room left a bitter, lingering frost in the morning air. Lion didn't bother joining us at the dining table. Without uttering another word, he buttoned his dark suit jacket, grabbed his briefcase, and walked straight out of the mansion. The sound of his sports car tearing down the driveway signaled his abrupt exit, leaving the grand dining hall utterly silent.Damon and I ate our breakfast in quiet comfort. With Lion gone, the suffocating pressure lifted, replaced by a warm, easy rhythm between us. When it was time for school, we stepped out into the driveway, and I climbed into the passenger seat of Damon's black SUV. As he pulled into the morning traffic toward St. Jude University, I unbuckled my seatbelt slightly, leaning over the center console to rest my head softly against his broad shoulder.Damon’s lips curved into a gentle, genuine smile. He kept one hand firmly on the steering wheel while his other reached over, wrapping his thick fingers gently

Snowlit MadrigalThe soft morning sunlight filtered through the sheer curtains, casting long, pale rays across the bedroom. I stirred lazily, shifting against the sheets, expecting to feel the solid warmth and heavy arm of Damon wrapped around my waist. Instead, the space beside me was empty. The mattress was cold. I sat up, pushing my tangled hair out of my face. The events of last night rushed back into my head—the hidden camera, the quiet confrontation, Damon kneeling before me, and the comforting, secure hold he offered all through the night. A subtle, quiet warmth settled in my chest. After changing into a simple lounge set, I opened my bedroom door and stepped out into the hallway. The mansion was usually quiet at this hour, but as I reached the top of the grand staircase, sharp, volatile voices echoed from the main living area downstairs."I don't give a damn if she called you crying, Damon! It's none of your fucking business!""She was hysterical on the phone, Lion! You just d
