ADELINA'S POV

By the time I woke up. It was close to noon and the bed had long grown cold. I got ready for the day and had a late breakfast alone.

I didn't know if it was my imagination but the servants were unusually polite. As if they were avoiding my gaze. I didn't ask about Mikhail, he must be very busy with the aftermath of the battle from yesterday.

A part of me knew the servants were scared of the woman who spent the night with the alpha. Not just because I was the alpha's woman. No, it was because I was the woman who made several Lycans get to their feet.

The door creaked open, I didn't bother to look away from the book I randomly found in Mikhail's study. There was only one person who could come into this room without knocking.

His footsteps approached from behind, then he pulled me into a hug. His strong cologne filled my nostrils with the familiar warmth. "I heard you stayed in here all day," Mikhail said. His voice sounded a bit husky as he buried

  • Trapped With The Ruthless Alpha: The Heiress Vendetta   255 - Please be mine

MIKHAIL'S POV It has been a year and I kept my promise. I didn't show up in front of her that entire year. "Sorry, I came late, Mishka!" I chimed with my best smile. She must be furious that I came late. She scoffed at me and then crossed her hands. "You shouldn't have bothered. The party is over." She sneered. My smile didn't fade, I stood up, and she backed away, intimidated by my height. Her eyes were more lively compared to the last time we met. Jason had been giving me updates on her everyday activity. "That's fine because I am taking you to another party just for the two of us." I retorted, bending down to her level. Her sharp glare didn't disappear. "And why should I follow you, Mr Romanov? I have guests to entertain." Someone was playing hard to get. My lips brushed against her cheeks. The familiar sparks reminded me of who she was. A chill went down her spine as she trembled slightly. My hot breath fanned against her sensitive earlobes

  • Trapped With The Ruthless Alpha: The Heiress Vendetta   254 - Graduation

ADELINA'S POV Time went by in a blink of an eye and before I knew it, I had successfully bagged my bachelor's degree. Kimberly didn't return to school. Rumours had it that the Sinclair family lost all their assets after the sex trafficking scandal, and Mrs Sinclair fled the country with her children after divorcing her husband. The fall of the Sinclair family made headlines and I missed it all because I was in Lunaria plotting Mikhail's downfall. "Brielle Sunder," my name was called from the speakers. A round of applause echoed as I walked to the stage to accept my degree. Mikhail had kept his word indeed; everything about Adelina's scandals had all disappeared. My name was cleared when it came. Publicly, I wasn't a Marino. The identity Brielle Sunder was my safe haven "Congratulations Miss Sunders," the dean said as he shook my hands. I gave him a tight smile remembering the day he had called me out for the police. "Thank you, sir." I chimed and then nod

  • Trapped With The Ruthless Alpha: The Heiress Vendetta   253 - Finally home

ADELINA'S POV Since there was nothing left to do, I decided to leave that night. Mikhail agreed and we got ready to leave. He had meetings to attend that night, and I had insisted he let me go to the airport alone, but he refused. It was hard arguing with an alpha. Soft sparks lingered on my cheeks, and a groan slipped out of my lips as I stirred awake. My eyes fluttered open and our eyes met. "Have we arrived?" I asked him. He hummed. I managed to sit up, my gaze travelling to the window. We were at the jet hangar. "We arrived a while back but I couldn't bear to wake you." He said, sounding a bit tired. I shot him a glare and his lips turned thin. "You should have woken me. What about the flight?" I grumbled about getting out of the car. Mikhail followed, stepping out through the other door. "It's a private jet, Mishka, they can wait." He sighed then walked over to my side The place was fully guarded, and I got more embarrassed knowing they were waitin

  • Trapped With The Ruthless Alpha: The Heiress Vendetta   251 - Need Time

ADELINA'S POV "Mikhail please!" I grabbed his hand without thinking. His gaze flickered, he was going through the same torture but I could not help it Once in a while it is fine to get selfish. "Just a little bit." I pleaded. His lips parted with a frustrated groan. "Mishka..." "I know you don't have to do much or go deep, just help me. My body can handle that much." He couldn't say no continuously and reluctantly gave in even if he knew it would increase his suffering.. He channelled the shower head at my clit. The force was strong this time and it felt just right. I grabbed the edge of the bathtub and let him do his thing. Mikhail's finger traced the edges, leisurely and deliberate drawing it out for me. My breath slowed, and my head was in a mess. I spread out my legs giving him all access. He stared at the water surface like his favourite meal was before him but he was grounded not to eat it. Mikhail's jaw clenched, his fingers slowly slipped

  • Trapped With The Ruthless Alpha: The Heiress Vendetta   250 - Taking care of her

ADELINA'S POV I didn't even know I was smiling at him. "Thank you," I muttered. He didn't understand why I said those words, but he still held me. He gave me a reason to justify what I felt and I was grateful for that. A yawn slipped out. I was exhausted from all the stress, emotionally, mentally and physically. I just needed to rest. Mikhail clearly wasn't satisfied, but he understood regardless. He picked up his discarded clothes, then fastened his belt before he carried me from the study to the bedroom. The door shut behind us and Mikhail matched to the bed. This was his bedroom if I wasn't mistaken, his cologne was thick in the air The interior wasn’t over the top, it was dark, almost intimidating. Black walls, heavy curtains that swallowed the moonlight, everything neat and sharp. Very organised like Mikhail. Yet it wasn’t lifeless. The faint glow of a lamp cast shadows that moved with him, just like he always loomed over my life. The bed was mas
