Karina turned her head and blinked. “Do you need something?” she asked, still half-conscious.

Saka pulled her waist again.

He easily lifted her body and placed her on his lap.

Karina tried to struggle, but Saka held her too tightly.

After a long pause, Saka simply stared at Karina.

Slowly, his fingers reached up to brush a few messy strands of her hair. “Why did you tie your hair up? Trying to show off your neck, huh?”

Impatiently, Saka pulled the hair tie, causing her shoulder-length hair to fall loosely.

Her hair fell beautifully, but many strands came off as he yanked it.

“My hair...,” Karina muttered.

Saka didn’t ignore her words. He immediately pulled her close and claimed the lips that had long tempted him.

Maybe it was the alcohol, but Karina surrendered. Her lips parted unconsciously, allowing Saka to deepen the kiss.

His fingers gently stroked her cheek. Then, he stood up, carried Karina in his arms, and walked quickly.

He stopped when they reached a room.

Saka sat Karina on a table and kissed her again.

This time, more intensely.

Karina could taste the mix of mint and nicotine, and feel Saka’s fingers caressing her back gently.

“Sir...” she called weakly.

She couldn’t resist the heat building between them. Saka left multiple marks on her neck.

“Sir, stop.” Karina opened her eyes. She was starting to realize what they were doing was wrong. Saka had a wife. He was no longer a single man who could be with any woman—especially not a woman like her.

Saka paused briefly, then suddenly hugged Karina tightly.

He seemed possessed, kissing her neck repeatedly.

“Sir,” Karina called again.

“I know.” Saka lifted her and laid her on the bed.

“I need to go. Not just me—you too.” Karina tried to get up, but Saka quickly pulled her back.

Thud!

Karina’s body fell on top of his.

“Stay here.” Saka hugged her like a body pillow.

“But—”

“Planning to argue?” Saka growled softly and gave her waist a slight squeeze, annoyed by her resistance.

Karina fell silent. She didn’t dare fight anymore. Eventually, sleep took over.

They fell asleep without doing anything more. But Saka held her tightly all night.

~~

“Shit!” Saka groaned as he woke up earlier than her.

The first thing he saw was Karina’s innocent face so close to his.

Saka tried to recall what had happened last night.

He remembered kissing Karina and carrying her to a private room in the club.

He shook his head slowly.

Karina’s peaceful face tempted him to kiss her again—but he held back.

Quickly, he got out of bed and went to clean himself in the bathroom.

Karina began to wake up too. She looked around. She hadn’t been completely drunk last night. She remembered being with Saka.

Hearing the water running in the bathroom, she turned her head.

“I have to leave before he gets out.” She hurriedly lifted the blanket, but unfortunately, fell instead.

Thud!

“Ow,” Karina winced, landing on her butt.

“What are you doing?” Saka asked, stepping out of the bathroom.

As usual, shamelessly, Saka flaunted his perfect body in front of her—wearing only a bathrobe.

“N-Nothing,” Karina looked away. She stood and walked toward the door.

“Nothing happened last night,” Saka said flatly. “Go clean up in another room. I’ll be waiting downstairs in ten minutes.”

Karina sighed and nodded, immediately leaving the room.

Ten minutes felt like no time at all. She had to hurry, or she’d get scolded by her boss.

~~

After a long flight from Hong Kong back to Indonesia, Karina finally arrived at her apartment.

Her whole body felt sore. She had tried to keep up with Saka’s tight schedule, even though things had been awkward since that incident.

She pulled her suitcase behind her. Just like every other night, her apartment was dark.

Karina searched for the light switch and turned it on.

“Why is this place so clean?” she murmured, stepping into her bedroom.

“My room is so tidy?”

She let out a deep breath, wondering what had happened. Then, she noticed a letter on her nightstand.

[Sorry, Mom left to work in Saudi Arabia.]

“What?” Karina tried calling her mother’s number—but it was no longer active.

“Please answer, Mom,” she whispered, desperation creeping in.

Soon after, a message arrived.

[You are Rita’s daughter. She owes me 300 million. She ran away and didn’t pay. As her daughter, you must pay her debt.]

[From the most ruthless loan shark in the world, Tanto.]

Karina collapsed. What now? 300 million? How could she possibly come up with that much money?

She let out a shaky breath and rubbed her face harshly.

Lowering her head, she cried alone in silence.

“I always thought I was strong. That I could handle everything on my own.” Karina clutched her chest, which felt unbearably tight. “But I’m scared. I’m scared. Dad...” she looked up. “If only you were here. I miss you, Dad.”

~~

DING DONG DING!

Karina opened her eyes to find the sun already high in the sky. Who would visit this early?

She tried to ignore it, but the bell rang again. Annoyed, she got up from bed.

She opened the door—only to be shocked by three big men standing before her. “Can I help you?”

“Pay your debt.” A man stepped forward, pushing past the large men, eyes fixed on Karina.

He suddenly smirked.

Karina’s anger rose. “I don’t owe you anything. My mother does. I have nothing to do with her debt. You should find her, not me.”

The man—known as the most ruthless loan shark—laughed. “Your mother ran off with my money! That damn woman disappeared after borrowing a huge amount. That stupid gambler ran away, and now you’re telling me to collect it from her?”

“If you knew she was a foolish gambler, why did you lend her money? You trapped her on purpose. You kept increasing the interest whenever she couldn’t pay.” Karina glared at Tanto. “I know your dirty tricks. I know you’re extorting people!”

Tanto’s eyes widened in rage. He couldn’t stand Karina’s accusations. “Shut your mouth. Just pay your mother’s debt.”

Two big men grabbed Karina by her arms. “Let me go!”

“Poor girls like you always talk too much.” Tanto grabbed her chin. “Give me money—or your body.”

He looked her up and down, his eyes filled with lust. “You can be my fifth wife. Your mother’s debt will be cleared, and you’ll live an easy life as my wife.”

Maybe this time Amel volunteered to be in this car. She sighed—it really wasn't good to be near Hardin. Especially in this car. They had hot memories in this car.“Is your relationship going smoothly with Daniel?”Amel looked out the window. “Yes. He is kind, handsome, rich and understanding, he is also good at cooking. But—”Hardin turned his head. Actually, he was annoyed with Amel, who seemed to really praise Daniel.“But he dated a bitch like me.” Amel laughed softly. “I lied to him many times. Hiding the fact that I was still always in touch with you.” Amel rubbed her face roughly. “I should have just told him. So that my guilt would go away.”“You’re not a b@tch.” Hardin was still focused on driving. “You’re not that kind of woman. Don’t think less of yourself.”“Really?” Amel turned her head. “Then what is it called a woman who is already in a relationship but is still in touch with her ex. That woman also plays dirty with her ex. Moreover, her ex has a fiancé who will soon be

“He’s fine. Why should I worry.” Amel walked—passing the bench Hardin was sitting on just like that. “Are you just going to leave?” Hardin stood up. He followed Amel from behind. “After I help you, are you just going to leave?” Amel stopped. She combed her hair tiredly. “I never asked you to help me.” She turned around. “You are no different from that man. You always follow me.” Hardin snickered. “If I wasn’t here, that guy could have hurt you. And you’d be putting not only yourself but your friend in danger too.” “Fine.” Amel looked up. “What do you want?” “Help me treat this wound.” Hardin winced softly as he spoke louder. His lip was completely torn from the man’s punch. “You could have gone straight to the hospital. But instead you asked me for help.” Amel raised one of her eyebrows in surprise. ~~ In front of a minimarket. With a pack of cleaning fluid and medicine. “What are you doing here?” Amel wanted to scream when she found out who had pulled her into hiding.“You followed me?” he accused Hardin. Amel sighed in frustration. “You’re really too much.”“Shut up.” Hardin put his index finger on Amel’s lips. “Look at her—you recorded her actions.”There—he was in front of Ela's door. There was a man still trying to bang on the door. Because he was not given access—the man seemed to take out a tool. With that tool he was finally able to open the door.“WHAT DO YOU WANT? STOP DISTURBING ME!” Ela shouted from inside the house.“Let go of me!” Ela screamed as the man pulled her out.Amel wanted to help Ela. But Hardin stopped her and said, “Call the police.”“But he—”“I’ll be there.”Before she could reply, Hardin left Amel in the same place. Amel immediately pressed 911. “There’s a stalker who broke into a woman’s house.”After explaining Ela's home address, he immediately hung up the call and ran after her.“Let her go.” Hardin stopped Ela who was

Hardin punched the wall beside Amel. “No way. You’ve already made me crazy. You’re really playing with me Amel—” Hardin lifted Amel’s chin to look at him. “I wanted to be with you again. I tried to chase you. But you didn’t care at all. You didn’t reject my touch, but after that you never did anything. You left—you avoided me. You were like a cheap woman.” Amel immediately laughed. “If I’m cheap, what do you call yourself?” Amel pointed at Hardin’s chest. “You left me. You left when I really loved you. After that, you ended up having a relationship with my cousin. Can you imagine how devastated I was at that time?” Amel shook her head. “No. You came to my big family event with Ashley. You even made love in the toilet of my grandparents’ house!” “Hello Hardin! You don't open your eyes and instead blame me!” Hardin held Amel's shoulder. "I'm sorry about that. I really didn't mean to do it. I thought you'd be okay. I also did it because I had to." Amel with her hateful gaze stared

“If I let go? Will I change? No, right? I’m still Amel.” Amel took Daniel’s hand. She directed it to her waist. “Touch me.” Daniel shook his head. "No. I can't do that." He withdrew his hand which was originally on Amel's waist. Then held the woman's hand. "Let's sleep." Arrive at the room. Amel was silent - looking at Daniel who opened the blanket. She came to the conclusion that the man would not sleep with her in this room. “Brother Daniel sleep here.” Amel lay down her body. “Sleep here, with me.” Patting the empty side of the bed. “Amel—” Daniel sighed. Amel who acted so distantly made Daniel desperately restrain himself. “Don’t be like this.” “Why?” Amel frowned. “It would be a lie if I didn’t want Brother Daniel to touch me. I also want to do it with someone I like. But I know—Brother Daniel is a man of principle. I won’t force him.” Amel looked at Daniel. “But for tonight—sleep next to me. I don’t want to sleep alone, bro. I’ve been so lonely lately.” "Okay." Daniel fi
