16: Unexpected visit

“Good! Good boy. My baby is such a good boy. Isn’t he?.” I plugged Calvin’s nose as I washed him down with lukewarm water.

He hated bathing and always threw tantrums when it was time for him to take his bath. But one way or the other I always have to get him into the bathtub. Bribing him with sweets or his all-time favorite drink, hot chocolate.

His bathe was short. It was a little cold tonight for me to give him a long bath. Once Calvin settled in his bed, I gave him his hot chocolate drink and he gulped it down in a blink of an eye with a huge grin on his face.

With Calvin in deep slumber, I had the longest warm shower in ages. Trying to wash away the memories of these last two days that had gripped my mind.

I found my second chance mate, saw him, smelled him and he didn’t reject me on the spot. Hurry right?

But what was worse was he ran away after I told him I have a four years old son. To me, his action tonight was close to rejection.

However, I was not surprised at
