CHAPTER 30

  For once, I feel like I want to forget everything, and I feel like I want to get wasted. So, that night, I texted Caroline to inform her that I am on my way to their house and that I have something with me. When I reach their house, she was already waiting for me so I don't have to use the doorbell and call for her.

  In the living room, her parents are watching a TV show. I greet them and they greet me back and even ask me if I've eaten already. I lied and I say yes, and hastily pulled Caroline up to her room who's brows are knitted together.

  Closing the door of her room, I lock it, so are her windows, and ask her if her parents won't hear us here. For years that we've been together, I know that her parents do not check on her at night so I didn't ask it.
