I woke up with a start, my heart racing, my mind foggy, but one thing was clear—the name that had escaped my lips in my first stir into consciousness—Anna.’ I rubbed my eyes, trying to shake off the haze. And the movement caused memories to flood my head. Not memories of the night I spent at Westside drinking with Black Rose, but a fucking lucid dream where Black Rose morphed into Anna right in front of me. Black Rose. The mysterious woman who had been taunting me, teasing me, driving me mad with desire. And Anna…sweet innocent Anna, the mother of my children. Could it be? No, I was crazy to even think it. The possibility of Anna and Black Rose to be the same person… just didn’t add up.
