Truth or Dare

Nora picked up the food tray and sauntered towards the table. 

On the large rectangular table, Liam sat in the middle. On his left sat Jackson and Jessica, and on his right was an empty seat, followed by RK.

Before she could reach near his side, Nancy strutted in her high heels and took the seat beside Liam, greeting everyone on the table.

Nora paused in her tracks and sucked in a breath.

She couldn’t get angry.

She took the empty seat beside Jessica and placed the food tray on the table with a bang.

Everyone at the table turned silent on her arrival, and the atmosphere was filled with awkwardness.

They sneaked glances between Liam and Nora and then at Nancy, who pretended oblivious to their stares.
