Chapter 1

William Albert is a husband who is always despised and not considered by his wife and mother-in-law.  Every morning, he always prepares office supplies for his wife, who is the CEO of the Wilco Company.

During his three-year marriage to Audrey, he had never had a first night just because his wife didn't want him to touch her and always considered himself to be a personal chauffeur.

Her previous marriage was based on coercion with the excuse of Mr. Robert, as Audrey's Father, who asked her to marry his daughter.  William had to be patient with Audrey's always cold attitude and harsh words to him, even though she always tried to be gentle with him.  Even Madame Hans, as her Mother-in-law, was never kind.

“William! Are all the things I'm going to bring to the office ready?”  Audrey asked William by name only.  In fact, as long as he was her husband, William had to call her name as 'Mrs.'.

“All done madam, now breakfast is also ready in the dining room. Let's have breakfast downstairs,” William said as he carried Audrey's suitcase.

He immediately walked behind Audrey carrying a suitcase.  After arriving in the dining room, he also brought rice for his wife.

“Please eat madam, is this side dish lacking?”  William asked as he put down the spoon he had used to pick up the vegetables.

“That's enough. Now I want to eat, and you also quickly have breakfast in the kitchen because today I want to get to the office immediately to take care of the project, you understand!”  Audrey said with a slight cynical smile.

Hearing his wife's words, William just looked down while nodding his head.  Meanwhile, Mrs. Hans, who had been watching her all this time, also spoke.

“Remember William, now there is no one to defend you. Mr. Robert who has always pampered you is dead. If you still want to carry out the mandate to be Audrey's husband, you must want to be her driver.  You're just a poor person who happened to get the gift of marrying a tycoon's daughter!” snapped Mrs. Hans in a curt tone.

“Okay, madam, I understand. I am also self-aware that I don't deserve to be side by side with your son. I just want Mr. Robert to be able to smile in heaven because I have carried out his mandate to take care of his child. If indeed I have to be insulted, it's okay.  Just pay me back to your family," William replied with his eyes lowered.

Meanwhile, Audrey, who was enjoying her breakfast with a menu of various colors, just smiled sarcastically at her husband's body.

After getting insulted, William immediately walked to the kitchen to enjoy breakfast with only a sandwich menu.  There he saw a necklace around his neck with a photo of him from his childhood.  Occasionally, he also saw photos of his adoptive parents, who had died.

Until he didn't realize that his tears had fallen, soaking the photo he was holding.  Daniel, one of the gardeners at Audrey's house who saw him daydreaming while shedding tears, he immediately approached beside William's body.

“William, why are you crying? Are you being despised again in this family? Why didn't you choose to divorce Audrey and look for your happiness out there?”  Daniel spoke to William while handing him a tissue.

“I only remember my parents, Mr. Daniel, I just want to continue their work here. I was also given the mandate by Mr. Robert to take care of his son, maybe I find it difficult to get out of this house,” William said while wiping his tears.

“I know, William, but if you continue to be here, you will be in hell. You can suffer,” Mr. Daniel's words were able to make William's heart more excited to be able to prove to Audrey's family that he also deserves respect.

Every now and then William took a sip of coffee in front of him. His mind calmed down after taking a sip of coffee that he didn't notice that Audrey was calling him from the dining room.

While talking to Mr. Daniel, Audrey suddenly patted him on the shoulder roughly.

"William!  Are you deaf?  I've been calling you from before and you're not answering!  I'll be leaving for work soon, you as my driver must be nimble if I order you!  snapped Audrey as she pulled away from William.

Again William could not do anything when his wife cursed and scolded him. His gaze just lowered and surrendered.

His steps quickened to get to the parking lot because Audrey had already arrived. If he was even a minute late, Audrey would scold him.

“William, you are walking very slowly. I will be taking care of a project at the Albert Company today, please don't go home yet and wait for me at the office because we have to be there exactly at nine o'clock. Do you understand?" Audrey asked, fiddling with her phone.

"Yes madam, I understand.  I will wait for Mrs. Audrey and take this suitcase to the presentation room,” William said while driving his car at a moderate speed because the highway was not so busy.  Meanwhile, during the trip, Audrey always talked to a man with affectionate words.

Although there is a little hurt because of not being appreciated, William still tries to cheer himself up by playing music in the car.

After a while, Audrey's car had arrived at her office. There was already a man who seemed to be waiting for Audrey's arrival.

Sure enough, after Audrey got out of the car, the man continued to approach Audrey's body while hugging her body even in front of William's eyes as if he was not considered a husband.

Once again, William's feeling of having to fight the pain of being humiliated. But he always believed that one day Audrey could consider him a husband.

“Edward, have you waited long for me? Sorry I came late because my driver didn't do a good job.” Audrey said while looking at William, who was standing beside her.

"No dear, I just arrived too.  Come on in and immediately prepare all the files that we will present at the Albert Company.  I'm sure we can work with the biggest company in this city," replied the man who is familiarly called Edward.

The two of them immediately walked towards the office while William walked behind them carrying Audrey's suitcase.

During the walk, in his mind William was not focused and was always thinking about how to prevent his wife and mother-in-law from lowering his self-esteem. To the extent that his body accidentally bumped into someone until the entire contents of the suitcase were scattered on the floor.
