ABIGEAL

I WOKE up the next morning with a resolve in my mind. I wanted to stay in bed, wrapped in Blaine's arms, but I knew I had to get moving so I could get back on time.

After minutes of gentle manoeuvring so as not to wake him up, I got out of the bed butt naked and started to search for my clothes.

It was then I remembered I'd come into his room wearing the white jumpsuit and cape and if I wanted normal clothes, I'd have to go down to my room.

But I couldn't do that naked.

My eyes landed on the black long-sleeved shirt he'd worn last night under his suit jacket. I grabbed it without a second thought and put it on.

It fell to my thighs and still carried the scent of its owner, so I considered it a win. I took one last look at his sleeping figure, smiled and left the room.

And almost ran straight into someone in the hallway.

Gabriela and I stared at each other, both as surprised as the other but trying to hide it. “Good morning, Gabriela.”
