I watch him roll something between a set of leaves with all the concentration he had. When the end of the roll meets the base, he licks the edge with the tip of his tongue and seals it.

My eyes glimmer with excitement as he clicks his finger, and the rolled leaves were introduced to the fire coming from the tip of his finger. It smelled like smoke, but a different flavor.

"I put selected cranberry leaves in this for you." Said the man, showing me how to use the cigarette. He looks at me with love in his eyes as we sit facing each other, naked, on the grass which was irritating our skin.

"It smells nice." I say, taking the freshly rolled leaves from his hand. Taking a puff, I enjoy the quick high it gives me.

"Humans are way too creative." Said Jacob, to which I couldn't help but agree. The rolled leaves lasted for more than fifteen puffs each. Grunting at the feeling, I fell on the grass and began contemplating life.

Or perhaps it was because of the dried leaves I inhaled.
