ZACH 6 YEARS LATER
I yawned, stretching my lean body out under the covers in a starfish like fashion. Effectively kicking my brother, who grunted and rolled over in his sleep; our precious mate sandwiched between us. I considered waking her up for a moment, when a piercing shriek from the other room invaded my peace. I tossed a glance beside me, seeing both Mike and CeCe still fast asleep and got up, dragging my hand through my hair as I headed across the hallway. Ava was awake, her little fists waving angrily in the air as she hollered about food. I smiled down at the red haired demon child and scooped her up, humming as she happily nuzzled into my neck, momentarily content. Her dark haired younger brother slept soundly in the crib next to hers, his quiet snores evident now that she was calm.
