Yewa's P.O.V

We were seconds away from crossing the line.

The very line that I was very scared to cross until I met him.

I may have denied every fibre in my being that wanted him so early because I was scared of being hurt but now, I wasn't.

I wanted him just as much as he wanted me.

I wanted to cross that line so bad. Not just me, my soul and my wolf were in on it too.

“General!”

Dylan’s voice was loud, sharp, and utterly out of place in that sacred moment. Eric froze, his head snapping up with a snarl so primal that it vibrated through my bones.

I had never wanted to kill someone so much before.

“He really couldn't barge in at any other time?!” My wolf roared out in understandable anger.

“What?!” he barked.

Dylan didn’t even flinch, though his eyes darted away from where Eric still hovered too close to me.

“Werewolves have infiltrated the outer borders.”

The heat in the room shattered like glass.

Eric straightened instantly, every trace of passion wiped clean from his expression, r

Eric's P.O.VAs soon as people began to leave the palace, the impatience held me by the neck and I immediately pulled the hand of my wife who did nit need any explanation as to why I pulled her away to my room.I would have never imagined that I could be so impatient so as to want to have right here in the palace, but I didn't care.I was drunk on love and lust at the same time. The world had never felt so still. The heavy silence of the chamber was laced with the soft fragrance of sandalwood, the faint hum of the torches flickering against the carved walls, and the steady rhythm of her heartbeat.Yewa’s heartbeat, echoing so close to mine that I could almost taste the electricity between us.The rites were done. The bond, our bond had snapped into place just moments ago, a powerful, primal surge that tore through every wall I’d built within me. It was unlike anything I had ever known. The moment our eyes locked as the final ritual seal burned into our skin, I felt her essence threa

Eric's P.O.VThe deep guttural sparkles I felt as soon as the sound of the final gong echoed through the great courtyard, deep and resonant, like the heartbeat of the gods themselves, made me realise that this was more than just love but I pushed it down, trying not to get any extra attention on me.It was done. The air was heavy with incense, tiger lilies, and the sharp scent of burning oils. My people stood in rows. Silent, reverent, their eyes fixed on me, but all I could see was her.Yewa.She stood before me, draped in the ceremonial robes I had chosen.White and gold silk laced with tiger stripes that seemed to shift with every flicker of flame from the torches around us. Her brown hair gleamed in the dim light, her skin glowing against the soft glow of the evening sun that spilled across her face. For a heartbeat, I forgot where I was.Forgot who I was.Forgot that we were surrounded by hundreds of people who had once demanded her death. In that moment, she wasn’t the werewol

Yewa's P.O.V The dawn came heavy that morning, thick with fog and the promise of another battle, though this one wasn’t waged with swords. By the time the first light cracked across the mountains, I was already awake. Sleep hadn’t come easily after what I’d seen in Yewa’s eyes the night before that quiet flicker of worry she tried so hard to hide from me. Yes, I had assured her and it seemed like it calmed her down but I knew she was still scared. Not of me as she trusted me, at least enough to stand beside me. But of them. My people. My mother. The council. The same ones who had once nearly torn her apart for being a werewolf commander. I had spent months trying to convince her that those days were over. That my tribe, proud and stubborn as they were, had learned to live with her presence. That the hatred had faded, but when I saw her eyes cloud again, I knew I had lied to both of us. The war might have ended on the battlefield, but inside these walls, it still burned.

Eric's P.O.VThe first day of the rites began with the low hum of drums echoing across the mountains, their deep tones rolling through the Tiger’s Den like a heartbeat. It was tradition that every marriage rite began this way, with sound vibrating through the land to signal the union of two souls, but for me, this wasn’t just another union. It was my salvation. When I stepped out of the courtyard and saw her standing by the balcony, the early sun washing her skin in gold, I had to take a breath. Yewa, the werewolf commander I once fought on the battlefield, the one I once chained, guarded, protected, and nearly lost, was now to become my mate.If the gods had hands, they were cruelly generous.I carried the ceremonial box toward her, the one holding the dress I had chosen myself, white and gold silk woven with thin threads of amber, patterned after the stripes of a tiger which she may not have noticed at first glance. It symbolized acceptance into the tribe while also taking her sty

Yewa's P.O.V Today was the big day and as soon as I woke up, my whole body trimmed with the thought that I was finally getting together with himIt was the day of the final rites. After today, I was his and he was mine. The same me that swore to never engage in matters of the heart after mine was shattered to the fire. From the second I woke up, my whole body hummed with happiness and power. It was like my mind, my wolf, my body and my soul was awake for this.“Skylar!” I warned out loud as her joy and pacing around was making me lose focus and memory of all the things I was told by Dahlia to prepare me for my big day but she wasn't listening. The wolf was totally gone in love, and honestly I couldn't blame her. Most wolves are with their partners from age eighteen. The day passed in a flash and before I knew it, it was almost time. The evening air was cool and fragrant, touched with the sweetness of pine and the faint scent of the ceremonial incense that floated through the Tiger tr
