THIRTY-FOUR

It’s been two hours since Clarissa left Archer’s penthouse at the top of the hotel, and she was still reeling from the high of it all. It didn’t help that Stacey wanted to know about everything going on with her.

“Tell me, babe. Did something not seriously happen between you both?” Stacey asked for the umpteenth time.

Clarissa rolled her eyes. “I told you nothing happened. Mr. Archer is a gentleman. He wouldn’t do anything to me without my permission,” she said defensively.

Stacey scoffed as scribed some digits into the customer handbook. “You don’t need to vouch for a stranger like that. We literally know next to nothing about him. And, he is affluent, what makes you think he will just be all over you without some ulterior motives?”

Clarissa sighed. “Don’t say that. It’s not every man that is the same. He is quite attentive, and from what I can tell, he is a good man.” She argued.
