CLARISSA

FLEEING FROM HER house looked too easy but that was because she pretended she was just going to help the movers who came a few minutes after Zachary left.

After moving all her things to her new apartment uptown and arranging them, she grabbed her bag and left the apartment. It was almost evening when she arrived.

Clarissa kept her movements as normal as possible, not to raise any suspicions. Zachary's people could be anywhere and everywhere. Even the driver of the car she was currently in, could be one of them.

When the car stopped in front of the hotel, Clarissa paid the driver and got out. Stacey was at the front desk with the other receptionist when she arrived.

Looking up, Stacey looked surprised to see Clarissa.

"Isn't today your day off?" Stacey asked.

"It is but I need to do something in the hotel. Have you seen Archer today?" Clarissa asked, her voice urgent.

"No, I have not. When Julia and I talked about him, she said he did not spend the night here. According
