Chapter 19 – Confused and bewildered

She was still sitting on the floor, trying to control her tears. As she was wiping her tears, she heard the door open. Not wanting anyone to see her cry and in that state, she quickly tried calming herself and wiped the last of her tears. Before she could stand, she looked up and was shocked to see Rodrigo standing in front of her.

She saw the smug look on his face, and she immediately looked down, holding on the chair trying to stand. She wondered why he was back, as if he heard her thoughts.

“I’m just back for my phone, I forgot it. You can sit and wallow for as long as you want. Don’t expect sympathy from me.”

Reyna didn’t answer him, she was standing, fixing her clothes still looking down. Suddenly she felt Rodrigo’s hand on her chin, and he pulled her towards him, forcing her face up, so he could look directly in her eyes. He wanted to see her suffer. She winched, and closed her eyes from the pain, as she opened her eyes she looked straight into his cold grey eyes.
