Chapter 6 – Damsel in distress!

An hour into her work her phone rang, Reyna jumped from the sound, she was so engrossed in her work it startled her.

Wondering who could be calling, she answered, “Hello, Reyna speaking”.

“Reyna, I have a problem”, Reyna immediately recognised it was Grace’s voice. She was a bit worried hearing Grace’s tone.

“What’s wrong, something happened?”

“No, nothing happened, but I can’t meet you after work. I forgot I’m having dinner with my crazy family, my dad just called to remind me. Hope you not going to be upset with me.”

Reyna giggled, this girl was too much, she almost thought something bad had happened to Grace by the way she sounded.

“Don’t stress about it, let take a rain check, we can do something tomorrow after work. I need to finish this report in any case so I will work a bit late and then go home. You enjoy your dinner, family is important.”

“Ok, thanks for understanding, see you tomorrow morning for coffee before work?” Grace sounded so bubbly Reyna couldn’t refuse.
