Chapter 24. We Are One

My heart hurts, but I know that Luca is right. I make my way to his room and knock on the door lightly. I get no answer. Maybe he doesn't want to see me. I feel my chest tighten as my mind tells me to leave him alone, but my heart tells me that he needs me. I knock again, and still no answer, so I just reach for the handle without thinking. The door is unlocked, and it opens. I look in and don't see him anywhere in the room. I walk in, shutting the door behind me. I walk closer to the bathroom door and hear the shower, so I go and sit on the chair against one of his walls. His room is clean, but there are a few clothes next to the chair. He has a painting on his wall that catches my attention. The painting is a mix of different shades of purples and blues in the background blended perfectly and the silhouette of a wolf howling on the edge of a cliff. It is beautiful, and the colors are beautiful together. I must have been lost in the canvas cause I did not even hear Levi come out of
