Chapter Eleven

Samantha's POV:

I shook my head and cleared my throat, knowing that he was waiting for my response.

"The date isn't over yet. I'll tell you later tonight," I winked and turned around, trying to calm my racing heart. The night was so peaceful and calm with the cold air blowing around us. It felt so good against my skin and I felt free for the first time in forever.

"Sit down, milady." he gestured towards the bench and I tried to hide the huge grin that was about to break on my face.

"Stop being so nice," I chuckled as he sat down opposite to me.

"I'm always nice, darling." he smiled and started to unravel the picnic basket.

Messed up a beautiful thing. So sad. I never had the courage due to my harsh past & bag luggage/trunks full. Plus scared of getting a beating also. Thank goodness times have changed
