Daniel, who had never been speechless and caught off guard, was in a state of shock.She was inexperienced and her soft, pink lips moved brashly against his. Chapter 3. Illegitimate. "She's such an unfilial child! She's nothing like my Sammy!" A woman who was in her mid-forties spoke resentfully. The person who spoke was Mrs. Devane, Aurora's stepmom. When they got back home, Rory just locked herself up in her room. It had been hard standing. Her legs were in so much pain. ***Daniel got changed in another room and went to his study. He was catching up on work, but he couldn’t focus. Rory’s face kept popping up in his mind. They hadn’t known each other for long but he knew she wasn’t someone who got emotional easily.
