“I look hideous.”

“You look beautiful,”

“I look like a wad of toilet paper!” Skyler whined.

“Then it’s not the dress, right?” I asked. “On to the next one.”

“Yeah, I guess.”

“Sky, girl what’s wrong? You’re getting married to the love of your life!”

“What if I can’t…what if I don’t make Avery happy the way a wife should?” She asked, her eyes filling with tears.

“What do you mean?”

“I’ve put that man through so much with my addiction and I’m just…I don’t want to hurt him anymore.”

“Avery loves you so much! And you’ve been so good with your recovery. You’re allowed to be happy, Skyler, you know that right? You get to have a long full life and you deserve it. You’re gonna get everything you’ve ever wanted.”

“You think so?” She whispered.

“I know so,” I wiped her tears. “This should be a happy time!”

“You’re right, it should be! I’m marrying the love of my life!”

“Yes, and then you’re going to be popping out babies!”

“Yeah…yeah. Hopefully. Um…let me get out of this.” Skyler hurried back
