FREYA.

I didn't head for a garden or a lonely place to lavish in agony. Instead I stormed out of the palace, sat at the back seat of my father's favourite Rolls Royce and told the chauffeur: "Take me straight to the Crest Swiss Hotel."

He glanced at me from the rear mirror, understanding what my order meant, but he didn't speak. Crest Swiss was where billionaires came to have dirty fun, orgies, swings and it is expected that a royalty like me must never be in such a place. But at this point, I was past the point of caring. Why should I keep my virginity while Lucian gets to fuck around with my own sister!

I picked my phone and called a grey number. "Arrange the hottest callboy right now and the perfect room for us. The most expensive."

"I'll send you the details shortly, ma,” the voice at the other end of the line replied briefly.

Good. If Lucian wants to go low, I don't mind digging six feet in return. I had barely dropped the call when my phone rang.

It was Lucian calling. I snorted and ignored him, but he kept calling again and again. Then came a text.

"Where are you?"

I deleted it. Then came another:

"Are you being dramatic again? Your attitude at the podium pissed Lilith off. If you apologize to her now, I'll consider coming for the mating ceremony."

Really? I should apologize to my little sister for what exactly? For being present at my own wedding eve? I rolled my eyes in anger and deleted those messages, too.

The next moment, the hotel sent the details: "Room 403, Wing A. He is waiting already."

Perfect. I laid back on the seat as the memories came rushing back. I’d trusted Lilith with all my life. I’ve protected her more than I did myself. And even though she wasn't an Alpha blood like me, I defended this secret, and shielded her from life's harsh reality. I endured the whispers and jeers, as long it wasn't directed towards Lilith. Yet she stabbed me in the back the moment she got the opportunity.

And Lucian… You bastard. I'll pay you back in ways you'll never imagine!

“You seem stressed,” the chauffeur said, breaking my train of thoughts. “There's a complimentary shot of tequila just by your armrest, it could help calm your nerves.”

I looked at him suspiciously for a second before reaching for the armrest and true to his words, there was a tequila shot there. Is this what my dad takes to calm his nerves?

I sighed and gulped it down.

Driving deftly with one hand, the chauffeur refilled the glass with another and I threw the entire glass down my throat. I was barely three glasses in when my vision began to blur. I had never tried alcohol before so I don't know if my drink was spiked or I'm just lightheaded.

When I got down from the car, all I could see were neon lights and smiling hotel personnel.

What's wrong with me? The wine?

I staggered towards the entrance and slipped into an elevator.

"Room 403, Wing A," I kept muttering.

But I had long passed Wing A.

I swayed through the hallway and found the room number. I pushed the door open and there he was.

My callboy.

He was stark naked, fresh from the bathroom.

His jaw hung low as he stared at me like I was in the wrong room. But I could make sense of nothing. I rushed at him, tearing my dress with each step.

In my tipsy haze, I tripped over the lush carpet but he grabbed me in his strong arms and stared into my eyes. I melted against him and stood on my toes to kiss him. He didn't reject me like Lucian always does. He didn't push me away like I was a bad wish.

He pulled me in, kissed me back and wrapped a firm arm around my waist. I pressed myself against him, his hard dick anchored somewhere below my belly button.

He smelled like heavens and his touches drove me crazy. I was on my knees the next moment, and took him in my mouth. A soft moan escaped his throat. It was more from surprise than pleasure.

My approach was novice, but my intent was overwhelming. This was the only way I could break that jinx— Lucian couldn't hurt me!

The callboy caressed my hair as he guided me. My vision still swam against each other. My brain remained fogged.

But I knew I wanted this.

When he threw me on the bed and spread my legs, I flung my head back and shut my eyes. I felt his warm breath on my pussy and when his tongue met my labia lips, I screamed.

He was gentle but steady. Pleasure coursed through me in electric waves as he suckled and tongue-fucked me. As I wriggled on the bed, I remembered how Lilith screamed as she was fucked by my mate.

I recalled how my own sister took from me what was mine. What wrong have I done to deserve such treatment from my sister and my mate?

I was knocked back to the present when I felt his dick pressed against my entrance. I grabbed the sheets and shut my eyes tighter.

Gently, he eased his way into me. Then he met a breach. He glanced at me, his eyes questioning.

I could make out his extremely handsome face, his dark hair covered in sheen.

I nodded. I was a virgin.

This was the gift I had safeguarded so painstakingly for Lucian, yet he threw me under the bus without thinking twice.

"I give it to you, callboy. Fuck me,” I whispered dreamily.

I saw confusion flash across his eyes as he slowly shook his head and tried to pull away but I stubbornly clasped my legs around his waist, boxing him in. I could feel his wet tip twitching against my entrance and all I could think of was getting railed by this gorgeous stranger.

“No, I don't —” his voice was gruff with passion but I reached forward and placed my finger on his lips, shutting him up.

“Please, I want this… no, I need it. I need you inside me,” my voice trembled with uncertainty. What if he left me hanging? Just like Lucian did…

But my train of thoughts was suddenly interrupted when the call boy suddenly pinned my hands above my head and leaned in to take my lips in a hungry, voracious kiss.

I felt a hot, flaming heat pool in my stomach but before I could bask in the euphoria of his lips against mine, he pushed his full length into me. I screamed into his mouth and he sent his tongue in it, lapping up my saliva.

I felt a tickle of warm blood run down my thigh.

I felt my wolf rouse, but went back in. As though she was... unsure.

Slowly, the stranger found his pace.

He didn't speak gently but he wasn't arrogant. His moves became stronger, his slender fingers caressing my breast, driving the pleasure home.

I laid there, twirling my waist to meet his rhythm. The feeling was incredible, the moment was insane.

My phone kept ringing furiously somewhere in the room, but I didn't care.

The callboy flipped me over and fucked me till I collapsed on my tummy. I took him in my mouth again and sucked the living daylights out of him. He lifted me and I gasped at his... unreal strength.

He slid into me from beneath and my scream rent the air. For another hour, he held me and drilled me. I bounced against his firm cock, each bounce driving deeper into my womb. I threw my hair back and he kept going. It was as though he had waited for this his whole life.

When we both let out the final scream and growl, it was nearly sunrise. I closed my eyes instantly, my whole body trembling from the incredible sex.

My thought was broken when he suddenly spoke: "Do you know whom you just had sex with, Freya?"

My heart jumped at my name. How did the call boy know my name? I was supposed to be anonymous.

I sprang up to my feet, grabbing a handful of the bedsheets to cover my exposed breasts. The moment my eyes landed on the “call boy” my heart instantly stopped functioning for a minute.

"Damien?!" I gasped in shock.

FREYAThe rest of the patrol moved ahead of us, escorting the rogue back toward the house, and somehow, without either of us deciding it outright, Dante and I fell behind, letting the distance between us and the group stretch until the sound of their footsteps faded into the quiet hum of the forest at night.Neither of us mentioned it. We simply walked slower, matching pace without discussion, the moonlight filtering in thin and silvery through the canopy of foilage overhead, painting the path ahead in soft, shifting patches of light and shadow. The night had cooled considerably since we’d first set out, a faint mist beginning to curl low along the forest floor, and somewhere in the distance an owl called out once before falling silent again, the whole world settling into a hush that felt private, almost sacred, entirely separate from the chaos of the clearing we’d left behind.“You’re limping ever so slightly,” Dante said eventually, glancing at me sideways with quiet concern.“It’s

FREYAI didn’t decide to move. My body simply moved for me.One moment I was stumbling forward into the dirt, pain radiating hot across my shoulder, and the next I was already turning, low and fast, some instinct older than conscious thought taking hold of every muscle at once. The rogue lunged again, teeth bared, claws extended, and I ducked beneath the strike with a fluidity that felt nothing like the careful, practiced movements Kendrick had drilled into me over the past months. This felt like an entirely different thing. A dormant instinct that had always been there, buried and waiting, finally allowed to surface.I caught the rogue’s forearm mid-strike, twisting hard and using his own momentum the way Tobias had taught me weeks ago, except my body executed the movement faster and cleaner than I’d ever managed in training, no hesitation slowing the motion down. The rogue’s balance broke instantly, and I drove my elbow back into his ribs with a force that sent him staggering, a pai

FREYAKendrick assigned me to the night patrol without much warning, catching me in the hallway after breakfast with the same brisk efficiency he brought to every decision.“You’ve earned it,” he said, before I could ask why. “Months of training, and you’ve shown consistent instinct in every drill I’ve thrown at you. Patrol will test that instinct against real stakes instead of staged ones. Be at the eastern gate by dusk.”I spent the rest of the day equal parts nervous and quietly thrilled, the kind of anticipation I hadn’t associated with myself in longer than I could remember. Months ago I would have assumed patrol was reserved entirely for warriors who’d proven themselves through years of loyal service, certainly not for a banished Alpha’s daughter who’d arrived here broken and barefoot. That Kendrick trusted me with this now, without hesitation, without treating it as some kind of exception made for pity’s sake, settled a steady warmth in my chest that no amount of training bruis

FREYA“No,” I said quietly, the word landing between us with more weight than I expected. “He didn’t kiss me. He almost did. And that’s the part I can’t stop thinking about.”A weight eased from Damien’s shoulders, though whatever relief crossed his face was quickly buried beneath a more complicated expression, one I couldn’t quite place my hands on. He set the bread aside entirely and gestured toward the back door instead. “Come sit outside with me. I think we both need air more than we need this kitchen right now.”We settled onto the same bench where he’d found me with pastries weeks earlier, the evening settling cool and quiet around us, stars beginning to emerge overhead in scattered points of pale light. For a while neither of us spoke, the silence comfortable in a way it hadn’t been on the walk back from the springs, easier now that the question sitting between us had finally been asked and answered. I found myself watching the way the moonlight caught the edge of his profile,

FREYAThe walk back from the springs passed in near total silence, the easy warmth of the afternoon replaced by a tense, unspoken weight that seemed to have settled over the entire pack, though I suspected only three of us actually understood the reason for it. The path that had felt easy and loose on the way there now stretched out endless beneath my feet, every step carrying me further from the moment that had nearly happened and closer to whatever awkward reckoning waited on the other side of it.Dante walked at the front of the group beside Kendrick, his posture rigid, his pace deliberately quick enough that conversation with him would have required jogging to keep up. I trailed near the back instead, my mind still caught somewhere between the pool’s edge and the moment Damien’s voice had shattered whatever had been building there, my body still humming faintly with an awareness I couldn’t quite shake no matter how hard I tried to focus on the trail ahead of me.Somewhere in the m

Neither of us moved even an inch. The pool noise, the pack’s laughter, the distant clatter of towels and boots along the rocky bank, all of it faded into a distant, unimportant blur, replaced by the sound of my own heartbeat pounding loud enough to drown out everything else.Dante’s arm stayed wrapped around my waist, steady and unyielding, and I realized, somewhere in the haze of adrenaline still coursing through me, that neither of us had made any move to step back. His chest rose and fell against my palm where I’d braced myself, his breathing as unsteady as mine, and the careful distance he usually kept between us had collapsed entirely in the space of a single misstep. I could smell the cedar and steam still clinging to his skin, mixed with a warmer scent underneath, a note that had always felt distinctly like him even from across a crowded training yard.“You should probably let go of me now,” I said quietly, though I made no effort to pull away myself, my voice coming out far qu
