Verena receives terrible news on her 22nd birthday, notably from her father.
She was researching potions in her room when her father opened the door, two Imperial Knights with frigid expressions standing behind him.
"Take her."
Her eyes widened in surprise at her father's remark, and the Imperial Knights rushed into her room, both taking her hands in theirs and pushing her from side to side.
"W-what exactly is this...?! Father?!"
The knights started dragging her out of her room, and she was bewildered by the circumstances.
"Verena, your home is no longer here."
The father smiled slyly at her and motioned for them to be watchful, and they nodded as well as obeyed.
"W-wait-! Where are they taking me, Father?!"
She questioned, attempting to free herself from their grasp, but their grip on her tightens, causing her to flinch in discomfort.
The father, on the other hand, gazed at her coldly with his usual resentful eye
