She hadn't opened her eyes yet, and the first thing Cassandra felt was the heavy feeling in the back of her head.
While trying to open her eyelids that dropped down like it was being pushed by tons of rocks, her left hand moved around looking for her phone.
The vibration that came from under her pillow got her to sit upright, she answered the incoming call and George's cautious voice was heard.
“Are you available tonight?”
"I'm planning to drop dead tonight. Why?"
Being her manager for years, George understands Cassandra so well that he needs to talk to her without coating anything.
