CHAPTER 5

ASHLEY POV

I moved in the direction of the center lane. I'll try my hardest, but I can't battle Akali in the early game because she gets early kills.

She loses a lot of damage if I wind-wall her, but Yasuo can't do much because Akali uses a lot of sustained bursts whereas my champion focuses more on situational bursts. Given that most of Akali's abilities are targeted and Yasuo has limited room for outplay, Akali should prevail in that matchup. I should let her push up and farm safely is the key on that lane. In order to deal fairly, I must wait for my power to increase. But even though I try to prevent it, I know that she won't let me gain weight. I can't afford to be careless, and I should never become trapped in the lane I'm traveling in.

It's important for me to obtain the blue buff before she does. I have a fast skill with a cooldown and a regen reduction if it attacks. I'll benefit more from that during the first battle. She will try to kill me as soon as possible so that my recovery will be difficult. I grinned. Not that I'll allow her to. Like I stated. She was CC's weak point. I can instantly kill her if I execute my combo correctly. I simply need to get ahead of all the ganking she will attempt. Even if we both attack at the same moment, since her range is far greater than mine, I will suffer more damage.

After getting rid of the creeps, I erected a stealth ward on a bush and noticed her there. Therefore, even before she attempted to gank me, I attacked her first, stunning her with my first skill and performing my combination. As I had predicted, I was successful in killing her.

I can hear everyone exclaim "Woah." Didn't anticipate that I will play well. I even observed Justin halting his game to observe my performance. I can still hear Danielle's brother saying, "I've tried to use Yasuo a few times, but I can't use it that well!"

I overheard Danielle say as I pushed the tower, "I can't blame you, bro, it's very hard to master that champion, so that just only means, Ashley is pretty good.”

I stopped focusing on them because I could see my adversary preparing an ambush for me. I used my first skill to stun them right away, then I used each of my other skills one at a time. My allies were also fighting when I spotted them. I don't stop typing until I've completely cleaned them out with my hand. Each of those follows the other. I chuckled when I noticed that they ignored me despite being the ones who launched the initial attack because my champion is completely built, which makes it stronger.

Killing Baron Nashor is their only remaining option. This has the potential to tip the balance because it might potentially inflict the team more harm. When they get the five dragons, the same applies. We can't allow them to have it because it might help them match with us. We gank them as much as we can, taking their lives and seizing the baron and dragons. This way, no matter what they do, they can never defeat us.

Before they could even be revived, we pushed their base, and a little while later, I once more heard my favorite sound. Victory!

After winning, I grinned. I shifted my position and took off my headphones. When I look at them, I see a gathering of young men who are perplexed. They were all in awe of what they witnessed.

Sean asked, making me giggle, "Are you really a woman or are you a former man?" Crazy, I retorted.

Mr. Jay said, as if to himself, "So it only means, I made the right choice."

Danielle responded with admiration in his eyes, "I believe it would be best if we kept her.” At what he said, I smiled broadly. "Well, the CEO will still make the final decision on that topic, but if I ask, I want to keep her because of her significant influence on the team. Nowadays, finding a good mid is difficult. "Mr. Jay answered.

"They should watch how she cleans their asses! It was astounding!” I grinned even wider as Blaire said, "Don't worry, they will see what we saw today, her fight was recorded and for sure we will know the result tomorrow. Rest for now, Ms. Ashley."

"Ash is enough," I said here, "and thank you Mr. Jay," and he laughed. "Jay is enough," I smiled. "Well, thank you, Jay."

"I'm hoping to see you in the arena playing with us. It would be a shame to waste your talent! " He shook his head, "I'll make an effort to persuade them." I nodded. He left, leaving me with my potential allies when my gender was officially recognized.

Danielle stated to me, "I didn't know you were so good at playing. You don't look like you could beat someone's asses off, promise.”

"Yes, he thinks of a retort extremely quickly. Every time I play a game, I really don't want to have to play against that champion. It's too itchy,” Sean said.

I respond, "It's not just that you don't use that champion; you won't study it. The more champions you know, the more counters you'll find."

Blaire asked me, "So you mean you practice a lot of champions besides mid-lane?"

They were even more impressed by my response, "Yep," which I gave. "When a new release comes out, I genuinely study so that I can prepare a counterattack in case I ever run across that champion. However, how the user uses the combos continues to be a determining factor.” They agreed by nodding. Sean chuckled, "Seems like we didn't just get a midlaner, we also got an analyzer." But hold on, what is your position?” I questioned.

Blaire held up his hand, saying, "I'm the support." He pointed at his brother, saying, "He's the ADR." Danièle grinned. Oh, he must be quite talented. “I’m topsolo,” Sean declared. “And that tall guy, Justin was our jungler.” pointing to the man who just returned playing. "Pardon his attitude, he's on his red day." I was perplexed when Sean said, I mouthed. “ Gay?”

 "Bisexual," Blaire answered.

Justin turned to us and said, "If you plan to murmur, make sure I can't hear you." Wait, is that my line?

Three of the men sat next to me simply shrugged. Danielle said, "Let's take you to your room." He tells the two, "You two should chase your quota," and they both comply. "Aren't they incredibly respectful to you?” I added, pointing out the two. He laughed and stepped up first as I commented on the two who had just gotten back from their gaming seats. "They should be."

I noticed a blue door as I ascended to the second floor. Pointing to the next room with the red door, he said, "This is your room; it's next to mine so if you wanted something feel free to knock." I walked in and noticed the interior's contemporary design. Although it is exclusively for guys, I prefer it over the pink and all-lace room my father created for me. Sorry, dad.

“We expected a guy, therefore we apologize if your room is a men's room. You can modify it if you wish----”

“Nothing should be altered.” I grinned and cut him off as he was about to remark, "I like it.”

“I'll let you wind down if that's the case. You need to rest even I really wanted to catch up with you, but I'll see you tomorrow instead,” he grinned. Before it departed the room, I even waved.

I grinned. Although I'm not sure if I would consider myself a man, I truly appreciate the room's decor because the colors are so soothing that they instantly put you to sleep. My back is flat on the bed. The softness, ugh. I'm falling asleep from it. I slid my eyes shut as I recalled something. To let dad know I'm here, I still need to phone him.

I grabbed my phone out of my backpack and dialed his number as soon as I sat down. It responded right away after the first ring had finished, I actually started laughing. It appears that he has been waiting for some time. (Why did you just call straight immediately, Ashley? Hello, how are you? Do you experience bullying? Or are you the target of a flirtation?) It was a string of inquiries that gave me a smile. My father was quite concerned. I laughed and said, "Chill hahaha, one question at a time, Dad."

I comforted him by saying, "Don't worry, I'm ok here, Dad. All my teammates are kind," and he seemed relieved on the other side. "Well, that's good to hear, this place makes me restless"
