PROLOGUE
I wasn't sure if going back to the Philippines will be okay. I am still vague about it. But of course I needed to go back because I already accepted the contract last month.Maingat na kinuha ko ang maleta sa kama at lumabas ng kwarto. Austin was waiting for me at the living room. Pumunta pa talaga siya dito sa New York para sunduin ako pabalik sa Pilipinas. Nakakahiya nga dahil hindi ako nakapunta noong kasal nila ni Grace tapos siya pa ang sumundo sa akin dito. Kaya doon kami ka agad pumunta.Pagkalabas palang namin ng sasakyan ay ka agad kong nakitang nagkakandarapang tumakbo ang dalawang babae papalapit sa amin.“Leur! You're back! We missed you!” Mia exclaimed with so much joy. Mahigpit na niyakap nila ako.I chuckled, “I miss you all more,” nakangiting niyakap ko sila pabalik.“How about me? Where is my hug, love?” napalingon kami sa lalaki na tulalang nakatingin sa amin.His wife walked towards him and he opened his arms wider to welcome his wife's hug.Ganoon nalang ang pag bagsak ng balikat niya nang lagpasan siya ni Grace at nag tungo sa loob ng shop.Tumawa kami dahil sa itsura niya at sumunod kay Grace sa kwarto ng shop nila. It's not just a room but a whole living room with a mini bedroom.I was amazed. At first akala ko simpleng flower shop long ang ginawa nila. I didn't imagine that there would be a small house inside.“We forget to buy food.” mahinang sabi ni Grace na nakapag palingon sa amin.“Edi bumili tayo! Let's buy ingredients and cook. Duh, we should celebrate dahil bumalik na si Leur.” sabi niya habang nakapameywang.“Do you want to come, Fleur? We will buy ingredients for the foods.” malambot na tanong ni Grace.“I would love to!” masayang sabi ko naman.“Nah ah! Madaming dudumog sa atin kapag sumama ka!” malakas na sabi Ni Austin.I paused a bit. Napa isip ako na kung sasama ako ay hindi kami makapag bili ng maayos.“Right, I should just stay. Hihintayin ko nalang kayo, okay? So better finish buying groceries early!” sabi ko na ka agad nilang ikinatango.It's been a while 20 minutes since the three left. I'm getting bored so I decided to go out and look for the flowers. All of the flowers are fresh and new. Colorful and smells good. Roses, sunflowers, carnations, kadupul flower, tulips and juliet rose. Why are the flowers so expensive?Pumitas ako ng rosas at inamoy ito. Hmm, addicting. CHAPTER 2I just found myself looking lost while standing infront of their mansion. The Cousins mansion to be exact. What the heck am I even doing here? I took deep breathes before going in.Seriously, wala talaga akong ka alam-alam bakit napapayag niya ako na maging temporary mom ng anak niya. Its just that something is pushing me to. “Ano po ang gusto niyong inumin, ma'am?” their maid asked. Tumingin ako sakaniya at ngumiti gamit ang mga mata. “Water will do,” I answered. Didn't know that they hired a maid. Noon kasi wala sila maid at sila lang rin ang gumagawa ng gawaing bahay. I even remembered the way they're all fighting when they were doing the general cleaning. Nilibot ko ang paningin sa kabuoan ng bahay nila. It's still the same. Kahit ang sofa at ang ibang furniture nila ay hindi nag bago. Napadako ang tingin ko sa isang sulok sa mansion. CHAPTER 3Matalim lang ang tinginan naming dalawa habang kumakain na may sama ng loob. Vanilla didn't even notice the awkwardness at our table. She's just enjoying her food, hindi man lang niya kami tinatapunan ng tingin. On the other hand, Rhysand looks like a wild lion who desperately wanted to eat his prey.I rolled my eyes at him. CHAPTER 4Nakahalukipkip akong naka upo sa sofa nila. I still didn't removed my black shades. My arms are crossed on my chest while I am sitting with my legs crossed. Naiinis akong hinihintay siya habang may kinukuha sa itaas. We are still not in his house. CHAPTER 5I woke up when I felt that wala na akong katabi sa kama. I looked at my side and saw no one. Rhysand is probably already at his work.Bumangon ako na may ngiti sa mga labi. Isinirado ko ang gate ng bahay. I opened my car door and slumped inside. I started the engine and maneuvered the wheel and departed. Tahimik lang akong nagmamaneho ng biglang tumunog ang cellphone ko. Inabot ko ito at nakitang tumatawag na naman siya. I rolled my eyes before answering the call. “What? I'm driving, Rhys!” “Where are you? You should be here by now!” he said from the other line, sounding pissed. “Hindi ka ba makapaghintay?! I will be there in a minute, stop calling!” Iritadong saad ko at pinatay ang tawag. Kanina pa niya ako tinatawagan at pinapunta sa mansyon nilang mag pipinsan. I don't even know why he's asking me to go there. He's getting clingy, akala niya siguro nagkabalikan na kami. Assuming talaga kahit kailan. Nang makarating ako sa bahay nila ay ka agad akong sinalubong ng kasambahay nila. Inilagay ko ang trench coat sa coat rack nila sa loob. “Where is Rhysand?” I asked the maid. “Nasa baba po,” sagot nito na ka agad ko namang nakuha ang sinabi niya.
