Chapter 3

From Nora’s logophile board

Sweven

A vision, seen in one’s sleep; a dream

***

Rosalind was a healthy young woman, no boyfriend, no relationships yet. But there were always cases where the heartbeats were hard to control and the hormones were hard to resist. But the gravity she was feeling right now was on a different level. Her heart drummed a different beat, not rock but metallic, the goosebumps terrorized all her body, and her hormones surged up to the level that an obnoxious heat accumulated on her center making her squeeze her thighs together. Her sweet smell intensified around the room. A low growl rumbled on Wilson's throat. Controlling his wolf and his erotic urges, He stepped closer, towards her taking the slippers in his hands. He did not stop until he was 2 feet apart from Rosalind. His gaze never left her eyes, as he kneeled on one knee and kept the slipper aside before extending his hand. He asked her to grant him the pleasure of putting on her slippers for her. Rosalind raised her feet subconsciously, but as his finger touched her feet, every cell inside her body vibrated as goosebumps raised all over her body. She sucked in a sheer amount of air around as her heart palpitated even harder. her blood pressure raised resulting in a burning blush creeping through her neck, ears, and finally to her cheeks.

Though she was sure that she had never seen the person kneeling in front of her, giving her the Cinderella slipper moment, her heart recognized him as rather familiar. As for her brain, it stopped working the moment she saw him. She was no longer the hot-headed kitty who had a devilish plan (according to her). It was as if she was possessed by someone. After slipping in both feet on the slippers, Wilson stood up, his eyes never leaving her. He had stepped too close to her, the difference in their height made Rosalind raise her head. The waft of wooden fragrance mixed with mint gave her a sense of something raw, something wild. She looked at his eyes closely which were reflecting only her. Although he seemed to be wearing lenses Rosalind felt his eyes were like a deep abyss, sucking her soul in bit by bit. She wondered what the real color of his eyes would be like.

‘Wait!!! What are you thinking? Why are you staring at him like you are going to rape him in the next minute?’ the mini angel version of her whispered-shouted at the side of her ear.

‘Isn’t he all juicy handsome? You deserve some fun in life? Gurl!!!’ the mini devil version of her murmured casually at the other side of her ear.

‘You do not listen to that mutt head. Are you not still waiting for someone to pursue you? Remember the bucket list you created.’

‘Why go on searching somewhere else, while the delicacies are served in front of you. Look! rejecting such a handsome specimen in front of you would be the biggest mistake of your life. This way forget about pursuing, dating, and losing the v-card. If you keep waiting, a cobweb would probably replace your hymen.’

While Rosalind muddled in her solicitude, Wilson moved closer to her, leaning down to her ear, and whispered in a baritone voice, “Like what you see? Maya?”

“Hmm… ” Rosalind was about to nod while she was pulled back to her senses by the howling of a wolf.

It was midnight, though the howling was a bit uncanny in the bustling city of N, it was quite natural in the woods. She stumbled back to maintain a safe distance between her and the gorgeously handsome specimen. Wait...wait what did he just call her?

“Kind gentleman, I think you are mistaken I am no Maya.” well that hurt’s a bit to say to him, now that she wished she ‘was’ his Maya. wait wait, Was she missing something??? Her internal monologue was interrupted by a curt chuckle.

“Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Wilson, the al… master of this resistance” then he gently took her hand which was hanging on the side of her waists, and placed a gentleman kiss on it, his face lingering on the top of her hand, “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

She now saw him clearly, and she confirmed that he was wearing lenses, it made her wonder what the real color of his eyes was. Nonetheless, his charm was enough to make her wet. A sudden realization came to hit Rosalind ‘Was she missing something?’ something was wrong, really wrong. Amid the pitter-patters of her heartbeat echoing in her eardrum and the lack of oxygen in her brain didn’t help even one bit in pointing out what the wrong thing was. Suddenly a knock came from the door, and a person, no stranger to Rosalind, made an appearance. How could she forget she was kidnapped???

“YOU!!!!!” Rosalind screeched while pointing at the person who had kidnapped her at midnight. Wilson was surprised. He stared wide-eyed at the person who had just entered, to find that it was none other than his loyal butler, Henry.

“It’s me, madam. Did you have an amazing ride?” Rosalind just couldn’t believe that such a shameless person with a deadly solemn face could even exist. He even had the audacity to fake a smile.

“How could you? You kidnapped me, I am going to sue you...”

“Kidnap is such a harsh word. I just escort the future mistress of the house.”

“YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO STILL DECLARE ME THE FUTURE MISTRESS. Wait” She now could add one and one, all the puzzle pieces are shaping into a clear picture, then she turned toward Wilson wide-eyed, “Are you the master of the house?”

Wilson answered her with a curt nod.

Rosalind sucked in the air around her. Why didn't she think of this before??? The blood rushed to her brain. She didn’t know whether it was due to anger or something else, dizziness hit her, the room began to swirl like the merry-go-round, the color dots covered her vision as her energy dropped, and finally, everything was blank except the baritone voice mixed with worry calling her, “Maya, Maya.”

Her last thought before she fainted was, ‘How could a kidnapper be so damn hot?’
