“You didn't choose for me. No one did. The choice was made when I chose to return. I thought that was clear enough that I was ready for this new phase of my life.” I added.

Jaxon listened, massaging my leg down to my toes. “I just want you to be safe. And it scares me when I think of the lengths I would go through just to achieve that.”

I smiled. “I’ll have you know that was very reassuring.”

He grinned and patted my leg. “Come on. You need a hearty dinner.” He said, standing to his feet.

“Dinner?!” I asked. That much time was gone?

“Yup. It's about an hour to dinner time but we pushed it up so you can eat.” He held out his hand and I grabbed it. He pulled me to his feet. “Change out of these and cool off in the shower. I'll go get you a clean set of clothes from your room.”
