Chapter 35: Round 1

They arrived at the bar in silence, as Selena was still very furious about what she had experienced with Demi on the street.

Lucas was also intrigued about this new Selena. She was always trying to make it seem like she didn't care much about him, even though it was pretty obvious for him that she did.

Every time he came close to her, he would feel her nervousness and how much she tried to be cool about him being so near.

They sat on the stools near the bar and ordered two beers to the bartender.

Selena was very confident that she could win the bet, but at the same time she just wanted to drink and forget that awful encounter with his ex.

The barman put the glasses in front of them, and Selena didn't even wait to make a toast. She took a huge sip of the drink while Lucas was still holding his glass, waiting for her.

He made a toast in the air by himself and drank the beer.

"So, are we just going to wait to see who wins the bet in silence or we can talk during the process?" Lucas mock
