CHAPTER TWENTY

But she couldn't stop thinking about him.

She couldn't get him out of her head long enough to fall asleep. Even though she had herself under her covers, she still felt the warmth from when he covered her in his office.

It was a different kind of warmth. A delicious feeling. Even better was the covers smelt like vanilla... And hers? Well, it smelt like hers.

But the covers wasn't the best thing that happened.

He kissed her. Her forehead, but still he kissed her. Charlotte didn't want to admit how much that gave her butterflies.

And oh his touch on her cheek. It sent tingles through her body. Even thinking about that moment made her toes curl.

She rolled on her back.

Daylight was already beginning to seep into her room but she hadn't gotten an ounce of sleep. She sat up on her bed with a heavy sigh.

"I can't take this anymore." Charlotte said to herself.

She checked the time on her phone. It was a bit past 6am. She got off her bed and slipped on a pair of crocs and some sweatpants.
