Miner Troubles

The next morning.....

I tossed and turned in bed I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that Ryan was going to be here. I could barely sleep last night.

I couldn't see him again. Infact I shouldn't see him again. He was a problem, a big one. You must be thinking I'm over reacting but I know myself I know how I feel everytime he was around. And I hated the feeling. And I shouldn't even be feeling that way because I was married to a Andrew.

At that thought Andrew walked in. He had gone out for a jug. Which he did every morning. He'd always ask me to come along but I was way to lazy to get up that early in the morning.

"Your back." I said with a warm smile on my face.

"Yeah. And your awake." He teased.

"Shut up and come here." I told him with a smile.

"I'm a bit sweaty."

"I don't care."

I watched as he walked towards the bed with a smile. He came closer and planted a kiss on my head. Even sweaty he smelt divine. He always smelt so good.

"You look so beautiful this morning." He said with a smile that reached his eyes.

That was a lie though because I always looked so terrible in the morning. My hair would be horribly messy and my eyes swollen for some reason. But I still smiled at his compliment.

"We need to go downstairs and join the others for breakfast." Andrew said and completely changed my mood. But Offcourse I wasn't going to let him noticed it.

"Let's go take a bath together first." I whispered to him with a smirk on my face earning a chuckle from him.

"As you wish." Andrew said with a smile. And before I knew it he was lifting me up and carrying towards the bathroom.

******

After taking a bath together we went downstairs to join the rest of Andrew's family.

All eyes were on us the moment we walked in.

"Serena!" Andrew's aunt called out the moment she laid eyes on me

"It's Sarah aunt Maria." I corrected even though I knew it wasn't a mistake. She always did this, pretending to forget my name was beginning to feel like a very old trick.

"Oh silly me. Sarah's much better anyway. But you can't blame me for always forgetting, your just never around enough for me to remember." Aunt Maria said with a proud smile.

Aunt Maria was a middle age widow in her 50's and she had a significant amount of wealth. She had inherited all her wealth after her husband had died tragically in a car accident. She had built it up over the years through careful investments and hard work. She has likely accumulated a lot of wisdom and experience over the years and is looking for ways to enjoy her newfound freedom. Sadly, one of those ways is belittling me.

Aunt Maria turned towards Andrew

"And you. You don't even care about me anymore. You don't call or visit. Do I mean so little to you now." Aunt Maria said muttering a sad expression. I almost rolled my eyes.

"I'm just too busy aunt. But you know I care about you very much." Andrew said as he planted a kiss on her forehead making aunt Maria chuckle.

"Oh. Darling you always say the right things." Aunt Maria replied with a bright smile.

I ignored them. I went over to sit at the breakfast table after politely greeting everyone. They all responded well with bright smiles. Which was absolutely expected cause Andrew was right next to me.

Sitting at the breakfast table was Andrew's parents. David Miner and his wife Elena Miner. Andrew's twin sister Casandra Dayan her husband Asher Dayan and Aunt Maria.

The table had everything on it eggs, bacon, sausages, toast, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans, tea, juice, coffee anything just name it.

It all looked really nice and tasted even better. But every thing went bad the moment Andrew's mother Elena asked me to join she and Casandra on an outting this afternoon.

I literally froze. Cassandra smiled at the shock on my face. There plan was perfectly thought through. They knew I couldn't say no to them when Andrew was around. I bit my lower lip in annoyance then faked the brightest smile I could muster at that point.

"I would love too."
