4. Splendid

Goldiva's POV

"Nervous honey?" My dad asked smiling sadly at me. I could see her was happy and sad at the same time.

That's because I was clad in a long white wedding gown with a bouquet of flowers in my hand. I felt good and comfortable in my new gucci heels but my heart was pumping fast as I looked ahead in my veil.

"Yeah." I breathed.

"Silly." He chuckled. "Don't worry about your husband, it's only a matter of time and tolerance." He assured.

"I strongly belive that this marriage will be the best choice we ever made." He added and I sighed.

We walked on the aisle towards my husband to be. When we got to him, I took a few seconds to check out how good he looked in the white tuxedo which had a beautiful golden rose attached to his pocket-in-seam.

He had an annoyed look on his face probably because he was getting married to me.

Yay!

I stood opposite him with my gaze locked onto the white floor decorated with what looked like gold and white as though it was the most amazing thing ever.

Well I could say that since it was sprinkled with golden glitter and white flowers.

I thought I felt Bruce's heated gaze on me but when I checked, he was gazing through the crowd. I looked at his sharp jaw which had a stuble on it and internally gulped.

I was getting married to an adonis. Anxiety clouded through me as I saw my friends grinning widely at me. I smiled briefly and looked back at the floor.

"We're gathered here today, to unite these two." The pastor began.

"Does anyone here have an objection to this marriage?" He asked and I glanced at Starla. Her eyes were swollen and I wondered how her make up was still in touch. Seeing her like that made me feel bad.

"Bruce Lee, do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, till death you part?" He asked Bruce and my heart rose when a brief silence prevailed.

"I do." He grumbled.

"Do you do same?" He asked me.

"Y-yes, yes I do." I said. The rings were presented and I was supposed to slip one into Bruce's ring finger,

He flinched when my hand touched his so I drew back my other hand and slipped on the ring.

He lifted, my hands as well, holding lightly to the tips of my middle finger and slipped the diamond ring onto it.

"You may now kiss the bride." The priest said.

Bruce slowly removed my veil and on instinct, I shut my eyes and felt him lean on. My heart skipped ten thousand beats when his lips slightly brushed below my bottom lip, a few inches away from my chin,

He pulled away and I secretly licked my lips as people cheered and clapped.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife." He said,

Right after that, almost all the women and bride's maids gathered behind me while my back faced them. I threw the bouquet and they cheered as I turned to see who caught it.

Starla.

She gave me a very pointed look as she grazed the flowers.

Bruce and I were sitting on a swing with reasonable amount of space between us. My hands were on my knees and his gaze was on his phone.

In spite of all the jokes the M.C made, I couldn't laugh because I didn't have the strength to.

We were called to cut our huge cake

I was so close to believing that the gold on it was actually real.

Bruce refused to slice the cake, and after a glare from his mom, he obliged and held my hand to cut it.

After the cake, slow soft music started to play and lights dimmed down. I was standing with Lucy, Mary and Terry and they were advising and laughing heartily with me.

Bruce was having a chat with his friends and well..Starla. My throat knitted into knots when he took her hands a danced with her. I stood where I was, looking at them, and the immense love the had for each other.

He looked at her and no one else like she was his world, and I was an obstacle trying to block him from his world.

Now that I knew this marriage would be hell for me, what could I do? I agreed in the first place forgetting to seek anymore further information.

I was even informed that we were moving to Seville to live a 'peaceful' and 'fruitful' marriage.

Well, shit then.

"They look so happy." I mumbled when they leaned their forehead on one another. I couldn't also contain the embarrassment I felt within me.

"As best friends." Lucy clarified.

"Well, they wished they could be more than friends." Mary said bluntly.

"Mary!" They exclaimed.

"What? It's the truth." She shrugged stuffing a turnover into her mouth.

"Truth hurts though." I muttered.

"That's life babe." She slung her arm over my shoulder.

Dancing was over and announcements were made.

Mr. Lee made announcement of his official handing over of his company to his son.

***

We, our parents and Starla, along with a chauffeur headed towards Seville in a limo.

More trepidation bubbled up in me when we pulled up in front of the large new mansion.

It was a huge house with very beautiful exterior decoration. The entrance alone looked really expensive and I took every step with caution.

My nervousness was replaced with excitement because In fact, the place was marvellous.

"Wow." I murmured to myself.

I stood close to my mother as the chauffeur passed by us with our luggages. Starla and Bruce were holding hands and chatting and it seemed no one minded.

"I've packed all your clothes, honey." She told me.

"Be a good wife." She said.

"Will be Moma." I promised. At the back of the house was a fleet of cars of different cars, a beautiful red hylander hybrid caught my attention

We entered the house, I resisted from gaping at its beauty. The interior decoration was impressive.

It was so huge with different halls, comfy sofas and different stairs.

I was busy with my personal survey when I heard two people talking from after.

"Are you sure Bruce?" I heard Starla's voice.

"Yeah, when things cool down, I'll divorce her so that we elope." Bruce said and goose bumps crawled onto my skin while my heart fell.

I walked back quickly to where my parents where so that they wouldn't hear the clicking of my heels and saw the adults.

When they noticed me, they all went silent.

What the heck was going on?

"Goldie.." Mom called.

"Do you like the place?" Mr Lee asked.

"Um..yes, very much." I asked to hind my confusion as to why they where talking in hushed tones.

"Splendid." He said smiling.

What was everyone up to?
