Tears filled her eyes, and she briefly lost consciousness. But before she could finish inquiring about his health, Thorne unexpectedly took his cigarette away, gently wiped a tear from her cheek, and said, "Get some rest early." She quickly snapped back to reality, blurting out, "Thank you, so you—" Watching his leaving form, Charlene was shocked and temporarily at a loss for words.* She wasn't sure what to do next by the time she collected her thoughts. She stayed in Jasmine's room that evening. She awoke shortly before seven the following day. Jasmine joined Charlene after she had been lying awake for some time. She cuddled up to her and asked if she might drive her to school in a lovely, beseeching voice. Charlene concurred. They headed downstairs for breakfast after getting dressed. Thorne soon followed and sat down across from them in the dining room. With a cheerful eagerness, Jasmine said, "Morning, Dad." "Morning," Thorne said, looking at Charlene but saying nothing. Then he began eating his meal in silence. Charlene remained silent as she observed him. Thorne had promised to assist her yesterday, but it didn't imply they were romantically involved.

They continued to have the same relationship as before. Charlene drove Jasmine to school after breakfast before leaving for work. Both Charlene and Stewart Ferguson had been bursting at the seams with fresh ideas since attending the tech exhibition. "Come back early." Thorne hung up before Charlene could react, leaving her momentarily dumbfounded. After regaining her calm, she went back to the meeting room, told Stewart that she had to leave because of a personal situation at 08:52, and added, "Gather the meeting's progress and any problems, then forward them to me." I'll make time to review them. In this manner, she wouldn't impede the team's advancement. Stewart gave her a shove. "Got it, now go." Charlene returned to the villa by car thirty minutes later.
