Despite being well-known throughout the world, Kenton was unexpectedly young—just over forty. As the host concluded the introduction, he walked to the stage amid a deafening ovation, tall and slim with rimless glasses on his nose. His eyes traveled over the crowd as he arrived in the center of the podium, instantly quieting the place. He gave a succinct introduction, saying, "Thank you to the organizers for this heartfelt invitation..." He answered questions from some of the business participants after providing an overview and confirming the exhibits at the show. There wasn't enough time for everyone to ask questions. Kenton left the stage thirty minutes later.

After standing aside, Kenton headed for the front-row seat that the organizers had set aside for him because there were still additional conference parts to follow. Several business magnates in the front row got up to welcome Kenton and shake hands as he went by, which made the people in the rear, particularly some of the technical personnel, envious. Thorne was seated beside Kenton's seat. Thorne got up as Kenton got closer. Vesta followed suit, sitting next to Thorne. Thorne extended his hand to shake hands. "Mr. Wagner, it's been a while."

Kenton and Thorne had already met. It was a long time ago. Kenton held out his hand in a chilly manner. "Yes, it has been a long time. " It had been more than ten years, if one were to count. Thorne wasn't the target of Kenton's coldness. That was how he treated everyone, even his pupils. Vesta held out her hand as well. "My name is Vesta, Mr. Wagner. I'm glad to have met you. Kenton gave her a quick look, gave a grunt of recognition, and then sat down after shaking hands with her and a few other people who approached. While someone on Kenton's left conversed with him, Thorne sat on his right. Kenton conversed with them inanely. Thorne sat and listened to the stage speakers.

It was difficult for Vesta to speak with Kenton because of Thorne. She leaned in and whispered, "Did you and Mr. Wagner have a fallout?" after noticing that Thorne wasn't striking up a discussion with Kenton. Thorne laughed. "Not at all. Then why? Why didn't Thorne take advantage of the chance to speak with Kenton more? Everyone wanted to spend some time with him. She thought about asking to take Thorne's position, but ultimately decided against it. observing Kenton conversing animatedly with a prominent business tycoon on his left.

She may be offended if you interrupt their conversation because of her reduced profile. Thorne said, "He doesn't think much of me," at last. "What?" Vesta was taken aback, questioning whether she had misinterpreted. Thorne's smile, however, showed that she hadn't. But didn't that suggest some tension if that were the case? But Thorne was completely unconcerned. Vesta ended the conversation without saying anything else. After a little while, the conference came to an end. There were rumors that Kenton would delay his departure.
